    PU Surgery!!

The vet said if she could pass the catheter no problem then there is no reason he will need the surgery and She said it passed like butter. The food is more of a preventative thing for oxalate crystals so they need to get rid of what he has as well as the infection. I am not sure about the...

    PU Surgery!!

Heard back from her. He apparently has a UTI. She also did an x-Ray on him and says he has oxalate crystals, which can be prevented with a strict diet change. He will be kept there until Monday when we will go pick him up. I called a few minutes ago and he is still not peeing on his own, but he...

    PU Surgery!!

Well, they had to do a few more before him, but the vet says he has no crystals. I have been researching and it says that it could also be bladder inflammation. She passed a catheder no problem and is x-raying him. I am waiting on her to call me back now.

    PU Surgery!!

He is passing urine, albeit slowly and in spurts, but they end up to be normal size pees. No hissing or anything but it terrifies me that he peed while laying down. He also is esting fine, but is constipated as well. The woman at the vet's office that I called said in his situation it is normal...

    PU Surgery!!

No dry food. He gets get wet only with water mixed in and we keep an eye on the ash content. He is on Clavamox and painkillers that I can't remember the name of. I just want this procedure as quickly as possible and am terrified that the surgery won't be scheduled in time.

    PU Surgery!!

My boy has had chronic blockage for some time and he recently got his third strike and is going for his pre-op exam for his PU surgery tomorrow. And not a moment too soon. This morning I caught him laying on his side attempting to urinate. He was, but it was coming out in spurts. He doesn't seem...

    FLUTD Advice

As most of these guys know, my baby just had an episode a lot like your boy's.  What helped my Baxter the MOST was completely taking him off of dry food and giving him two cans of wet food mixed with water a day. I promise you, my kitty was just like your boy. He would pee out of the box (if he...

Oh boy. Baxter and I are going to vet again. Cysts? Cancer...?

It is. Good thing one of my best friends is training to be a vet assistant. Studying still, but better than nothing until we can get him in to the vet. She said it didn't sound like a tumor, so I was relieved. He's been doing a lot better with his FLUTD as well. He scared me tonight a bit, as he...

Oh boy. Baxter and I are going to vet again. Cysts? Cancer...?

I researched myself hysterical yesterday.  : [  But the more I look at ti the less I think it's cancer. He's pretty young, even though I know it's not uncommon for young cats to have cancer.  He's going to go next Thursday to the vet. Too many kitties booked in today, hahaha.

Oh boy. Baxter and I are going to vet again. Cysts? Cancer...?

My cat had a lump under his front leg (armpit region) for a while. I was told it was an allergic reaction to flea bites. However, just today, I felt it and there's another! The first one is about the size of a nickel and the other is smaller than that.  It's just under his skin and has a few...

Update on FLUTD kitty, Baxter and quick question!

He's done a lot better! He's used both boxes and several times a day and eats two cans of (watered with filtered water) Friskies wet food with no dry at all. He's peed once on the coffee machine, which he's peed on before, though, but with no signs of strain, meowing, or pain. He's also going...

Male Cat UTI Help! : [

Hahaha, I've kind of been tiptoeing around him too. He scares really easy. I've heard pheromone diffusers are pretty helpful for stress too. Will be getting one of those next paycheck. XD

Male Cat UTI Help! : [

Awesome! Thanks, guys. You're all super helpful. : ]  Do you recommend both corn silk over krill oil?  Either way, I'll be getting one of the two, hahaha.

Male Cat UTI Help! : [

Yeaaah, the 'spite' thing was supposed to convey that, but I guess humor doesn't translate well over the internet. Thanks, though. He's used the litter again once. I changed his litter as it was directed in the pamphlet the vet gave me. Krill oil sounds like it would help him also. I heard...
