I actually have a miniature dachshund with kidney failure and am trying to determine which subq fluids might be best. The first vet prescribed lactated ringer and 2nd was wondering which to prescribe and then prescribed sodium due to hypercalcemia. Are there any drawback to straight sodium? ...
