Willy faceplanted on me at least one time in his last few weeks of his life (he had cancer). He might have done it before, as he did sleep on top of me in the past, but I wasn't as aware before.
About two weeks ago, he was sleeping on top of me while I was sleeping on the living room couch. I...
Just a small mini-update about something else that happened today...
This is not at all an advertisement, or an attempt to sponsor anything. Keep shopping wherever you like to shop. But this really took me by surprise...
I received a flower delivery today. Like a fresh flower delivery from a...
Update: Preparing final records
I just wanted to add to this post that I have finally obtained all the records from my vet. I now have all of Willy's lifetime records from his general vet, and all records from oncology.
I am currently working on redacting all personal and company information...
Yeah, Willy had chronic respiratory symptoms his whole life, since being rescued at age 1. He occasionally snored when congested over the years, but rarely. The regular snoring didn't start until maybe age 9-10.
Willy really started snoring hard in the last year of his life.
At first, I thought it was because of his chronic respiratory symptoms, which often included congestion. But as I said in my other thread about him, as soon as he got cancer, he had almost no respiratory problems at all the whole...
I'll never have an opinion on what someone else experienced. But for me, I declined to witness the moment of death, because I personally did not believe I or Willy would experience anything at that point.
I just wanted to be present for all of his final moments of consciousness, so I wanted to...
I made another request today for Willy's complete medical records (the general vet's records, not oncology), and I was told that my vet is not finished writing them yet.
The only new component that will appear on the records since the last time I got them will be the euthanasia appointment...
Before I forget, I wanted to mention this...
During chemotherapy, I was repeatedly warned about the poisonous drugs being released through a cat's urine and feces in the immediate weeks after each treatment. And I wore gloves and a mask whenever scooping/changing litter during that period.
(I...
Alright, I will check tomorrow and follow-up here with what I find to be true in my area.
I want to do this ASAP, as I know that while dry food can last a long time when properly sealed, it is better when fresher.
Thanks. That's interesting... I was always told by "conventional wisdom" (though I can't remember by whom, exactly) that opened bags are just not accepted. I haven't actually looked into it.
Thanks everyone for your loving replies. Every single response I am receiving is helpful, and I appreciate you all.
I am working on getting Willy's COMPLETE medical records from my vet, including those from today's euthanization appointment. I need to know exactly which drugs were administered...
Sadly, I lost my cat today after his battle with cancer.
I still have almost an entire bag of Hills ONC dry food, which was the only food he would eat during his cancer months, and kept him nourished.
I also have another almost full, recently opened bag of another type of dry food, which I...
Update: Euthanasia
It is done, and Willy isn't suffering anymore.
I'm going to describe exactly what happened in detail, so if you feel this might be difficult to read, skip the rest of this post. There were some moments I was unhappy with, and it wasn't 100% peaceful, unfortunately. But I am...
