any news? i felt so sad reading your post....
please please take him to a vets....you can't let money stand as an obstacle on this....he is very very poorly
i know how difficult it is to find money - i myself have spent over £500 at the vets this week alone but i would rather owe money than...
Now my puss has been diagnosed as FIV+ I've been reading about natural supplements to add to their food. I've read that cod liver oil can help provide essential vitamins to boost the immune system. Trouble is there is no indication of frequency, method of giving it to puss or measures.
has...
my thoughts go out to you and Daniel. i know exactly how you feel....my little baby boy was diagnosed on Tuesday as having FIV. I too have another cat which I am worried about being infected. I've done a lot of crying this week but have also done a lot of reading on the web.....the chances are...
well, there's good and bad news .....
the bad news is that we had to take him to the vets again on Tuesday to find that he has FIV the temperature had crept back despite anti-biotics and the vet thought that this was very odd so carried out a blood test....i'm gutted....i had him tested before...
well the virus didn't cause the murmur it's still there, so we've decided to go with the (very expensive) cardiology exam, he's booked for next Thursday. I feel a bit better now after a long chat with the vet as the potential treatments (beta blockers or others) should only cost (max) £20 per...
thanks for all your advice. I'm going to ask the vet today what his recommendation is and what the possible outcomes are. Jasper is about 3 yrs old (rough estimation as we took him in off the streets as he was homeless) which means that he definately won't grow out of it and it's not due to old...
I take Jasper back to the vet tomorrow for another check. I will ask about the severity (or estimated) and if it is very significant then I will definately get the cardiologist involved. Unfortunately, the bill we've run up already is about £200!!!
I feel awful but I have this real gut feeling...
i took my cat to the vet on Sunday after he was a bit out of sorts only to be told that he has a heart murmur. This is un-related to the problem at the moment but I have been advised to let him see a cardiologist (costing £400).
has anyone else come across this b4? I've heard that a lot of...
we did the midnight search party last night and still no signs of him
i'm worried
we will keep trying though.....we can't give up.
i just hope he's OK somewhere....cornish rex's are very intelligent cats andi'm hoping he's used his charms on someone to give him some food and a warm bed till...
thanks for the info.....the upsetting thing is that we've done everything mentioned on there....but with no success.
we are off in about an hour for a midnight patrol to see if we have any luck finding Wooster....there's miles to cover....just hope we're lucky
has anyone else heard that adult...
My boyfriends mums cat has gone missing, it's 2 weeks today and he still hasnt turned up. We are desperate to find him.
They moved house a few months ago, and kept the cats inside for a good month before letting them into the garden, everything was fine and both of them (brothers) always came in...
our 2 cats vary their sleeping spots all the time.....one week one of them will be on the bed, theother in the spare room, the next week, they will swap, then sometimes neither of them....I wouldnt get upset over it at all!
we live in the centre of town, very close to a busy road....jasper, our stray used to be let out all day, with a catflap into the garage....but after twice nearly seeing him under the wheels of cars we decided to keep our 2 in....they go out on leads.....which is fine till another cat wanders...
I introduced my 3 year old mog to a stray that had never been indoors before about 10 months ago. Jasmine (3 yr old) has lived on her own (ie without other kitties) all her life and was extraudinarily nasty to other cats. We took Jasper in as a stray because he was so 'needy' and loving and it...
