I had a kitty that smelled like poo too. She actually had her anal glands "squeezed" by the vet. She then was on medication for a week. All better. I give her a snack of fiber treats and it helps with her poo so it's firm. Raven also has long fur, so I try to keep it trimmed on her hind quarters.
