We learned this morning that we have to wake up, fuss him like crazy, and eventually he might fall asleep. That might just be luck. so we will have to try it again.

I cant get up at 5:30 every morning. He has LOTS of toys, food, water, litter, he has like 4 different places to sleep, he has a cat tower, he has EVERYTHING. He falls asleep around like 8 pm which is to early for me and waking up at 5:30 and that is wayyyy to early.

thanks, and i noticed you had a cat named Sooty. When my fiance was little he had a puppet that is mom called Sooty. Shes from england as well so i assume there is something with the name.
