Cats suddenly fighting more after diet change.

He's about 14lbs, which (according to the vet) makes him about 3-4 lbs over weight for his breed.  After two months, we weighed him, and he's at about 13.5lbs.  Just above that.   We think it's because of the very low kcal count in Weruva.  Testing that theory tonight.

Cats suddenly fighting more after diet change.

We feed them in seperate rooms because she eats faster than him and will try and steal his food.  As for how much, they roughly get 150 calories per day.  A can per cat total, depending on the food.  The one pattern we have noticed is it seems to happen after a particular brand, specifically...

Cats suddenly fighting more after diet change.

Well, never mind, I am done with this site.  'Well, again...."   Every question I've ever come here to ask has been met with some sort of uppity patronizing.  I find that pathetic for a site where people who may not know as much as you do come to gather information.

Cats suddenly fighting more after diet change.

The three meal a day schedule probably won't be feasible considering work schedule.  And it only happens after they eat at night.  We feed them is seperate rooms, too.  So they don't fight over anything.   After they eat, our boy seems to want to just bug our girl until she gets annoyed enough...

Cats suddenly fighting more after diet change.

They were grazing on kibble.  We feed them moist exclusively now.  Weruva, BFF, Evo, etc.  We feed them twice a day, roughly twelve hours apart.  It seems to occur really only after the nighttime meal.  Heck, it happened not fifteen minutes ago.

Cats suddenly fighting more after diet change.

So here's the deal.  We have one male and one female, both approximately coming up on seven years old.  They've been together sicne we adopted them at two months.  They've always had their moments, but nothing major.  Pretty much what one would expect from "siblings."   Only recently, after...

    Wet food only diet...how much?

So we've transitioned our two kids to a wet food only diet, but how much should we be giving them?  All cans are ususally made in 3oz or 6oz (on average) size, so I am wondering what others do for a two meal feeding schedule?

    Ideal cat diet

Well, the great transition began last night after going to Krisers and picking up some grain free canned food.  Neither of them poo-pooed it at all.  Their reaction was more along the lines of "This?  This is awesome.  Nom nom nom nom." This morning, the same thing.   The only contention is we...

    Ideal cat diet

I didn't say it was "not bad."  And I can't recall if we were told or we just fell into that habit.  But your reply, other than moderately berating me, adds nothing to my question.  Thanks.

    Ideal cat diet

Well, our two kids are getting older, seven years old this month, and I am now wondering what the optimal diet would be.  When we first adopted them, when they were two months old, we had them on pretty much a wet food diet, with a little dry food for grazing.  However, sometime in the last...

    Flea question.

Alright, so every bit of furniture and carpet has been extensively vaccumed and all clothing and bedding washed. The cats have been checked and so far so good. But I did put a couple white towels down where they lay, just in case, so I can see if there is anything on them. Am I being a bit...

    Flea question.

Thanks. Yeah, I figured it would be a "play the odds" kind of thing. I'll vacuum the carpets, floors, couch and such, and even wash the bedding and laundry, just in case. We don't have any cat beds, since our entire apartment is their bed, so we don't have to worry about that. I mean, it was...

    Flea question.

Last night we found a kitten next to one of our cars. Couldn't have been more than a week old, just abandoned by it's mother and covered in ants. We brought it in and kept it overnight until we could get to a rescue shelter this morning. Got KMR to feed the little fella, and one feeding, I...

    Cat peeing issues.

Alright, here's the scoop. Pun intended. We've had our cats for about two years now, we adopted them from a shelter, and they are both about two years old. We moved back in April and there were no problems with adjusting, then about a month ago we noticed pee on the bed. Cleaned it, so on and...

Mama's Girl - she hates everyone else

My fiance and I have two, a boy and a girl. They both love her more than me, but our girl will use me for attention (and I feel so cheap) when my fiance's not around. She comes up on the couch with me and is the most loving cat ever. But when my fiance is here, I don't exist. Oh, well. The...
