I hope the cat is doing better. I unfortunately do not know, but I was wondering if you've looked at virtual vet visits until you're able to go in-person to your vet, which may be more affordable in the meantime.

He's doing okay, paws almost healed right now but we never know how long it'll last. The longest break he's had since November was two weeks. :(

We've just done that based on this thread, but it will likely take a number of mopping times. We're holding out hope.

Thank you. I'm glad you found something that worked. He is on cyclosporine which is supposed to help control allergic responses, but so far hasn't helped with the lip and paw inflammation and ulcer issues.

Thank you. Agree, it's very hard when vets don't know and heartbreaking for him to go through all of this.

Here are two photos of the paw issue. The main paw pad one is not as clear of a photo. The problem starts as almost like a rash on the edge of the main paw pad and then gets dark bacteria around it, ulcers, and eventually scabs. The problem then moves to the edges of the toe pads on the same paw.

I will try new detergent. Yes, cats are indoor only. I'm sure we and others could be tracking in things, although we try to remove shoes as much as possible. Yes, someone moved in so there was new furniture and items (shoes from work not accessible though) that are still here. We've gotten...
