Since you asked and it is your first kitty, Friskies canned or dry is really not a good food for your kitty. IMO there is no real great canned food, but a grain free one is better than one with grains. The real problem occurs because the manufacturers appeal to us as people and put in veggies...
Thank you both so much. I really liked the looks of the catit and I like the fact that the water goes through the filter before the pump. Guess I will go for that one. I worry more about these cats water than my own! But, they are worth it!
Thank you kitytize. Mine do like faucets so the drinkwell may be the best for them. I saw that catit and it does look neat, but it is for the cats not me!
I know your post was a while ago, but do your cats still like the Catit Fountain. I am looking to purchase a fountain and have read through all the posts and now am totally confused which one to get. Any current help from anyone will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My post was simply a comparison between Propac and Proplan, since this person seemed to want to feed a dry food. I personally don't like dry food as by it's nature is carbo loaded, and cats are obligate carnivores who don't do well on that type food. They need meat protiens, not veggies, not...
Not much time today but wanted to respond a few issues. Wheat is a totally nonfermentable fiber to cats - there's nothing to suggest cats can
process it, and no specific research. Corn has two advantages: Cats get more protein from corn than from any other vegetable per the research. Corn has...
As someone suggested get the cat off steroids. They only suppress the immune system and aren't helping anyway. I would not use Eucalyptus oils on a cat. First essential oils are poisonous to cats and Eucalyptus is a particularly bad one for cats. Good for people doesn't mean good for cats...
Please don't take this as being mean. I love cats and am on a fixed income myself so I understand the costs involved. The most important thing is to start your kitten out with the best quality food available. There really is no perfect food made by manufacturers of cat food, but why feed...
