Theyve been fighting, particularly around my bedroom. The bullied cat sleeps on top of a Sterilite storage drawer on top of a chair, or, out of harm's way. They have actually lived together before, with no issues. Now suddenly after 2 months of cohabitating these issues are occurring.
So recently one of the two cats has decided that the other cat can't use either of the two litter boxes, and literally lays in the doorway, guarding it. I have found catpoop behind the couch and today, for the second time this week, the bullied cat peed on my shower mat. What can I do to solve...
The one thing they said indicated FIP was protein something or another in the abdomen fluid. Extremely rare or not, something turned my precious into a shell of himself and sucked all of the life out of him in a short time.
He did recently receive a new playmate, so that might help explain things.
Lab results are in. Vet said coronaviris/FIP is most likely culprit, but diagnosis would take another 3-5 business days. Only thing they could do is put a tube through his nostril to force-fed him to extend his life

They simply said his vital organs look okay via the ultrasound and the only concerning things were the fluid and swollen lining. The only one time he was panting was after fighting the feeding of blended catfood.
The blood test came back normal except for low red blood cells which they said were from malnutrition/lack of eating. The vet mentioned possible peritonitis but from what research has indicated it is very hard to diagnose and is usually found via autopsy.
He seems normal but lethargic, and eats and drinks extremely little. He is 9.5 years old. I just don't want him to literally starve to death. Will a cat do that or will they eat at least a minimum sustenance amount?
So my elder cat is not eating or drinking anything. When I try with a syringe he whips his head around so much most of it flings to the ground and by the time we are halfway done he has worked himself exhausted and starts panting :( I have a good idea how to do this after watching a couple...
Their appetite is fine, I think they are just spoiled. They did refuse to drink water out of a bowl when I introduced them to slow drip bathroom sink water. They wine and passive aggressively sit next to their food bowl and when I put some in they kind of act disappointed and nibble for like 30...
I have owned a cat for nine years, and have fed him Iam's normal adult cat food for 8 years. This Winter I adopted another adult male cat who, according to my aunt, has also been fed Iam's normal adult cat food. Suddenly both cats will NOT eat anymore food than is necessary not to starve to...
Their bowls are at opposite ends of the kitchen. They get along together okay and have never been territorial over food, in fact they seem to not even prefer which bowl they eat out of. I suppose I will try a different food but it seems odd that both at the same food for years and now both think...
I have had one cat for eight years and the other I adopted from a family member about four months ago. For almost the entirety of the older cat's life he has been fed Iam's cat food and has never had any problems with it. Suddenly after adopting the other cat, they have both slowly started to...
