My kitten Yibb-ten does this. If she wants attention or to get into a closed room she starts meowing pretty loudly. Unfortunately most of the time both me and her sister Hastpurr just ignore her. Usually she stops pretty quickly unless I am in the closed room.

Kittens will be 1 year in November and both have been fixed. The poop appears firm and normal looking logs.  Isn't naturals miracle an enzyme cleaner? 

Yeah I forgot to mention aside from the pillow I also tried covering that spot in aluminium foil as I read that cats don't like it.  Fun Fact for the night I did that aluminium foil became my cats new favourite play thing :|
