There is no treatment for their condition. In Mike's case, he's also pretty old, and he's lost half his body weight in the past 6-12 months. He is definitely a candidate for euthanasia, though neither of us are ready for that just yet. As long as he can stand to eat, and make his needs known...
He did no tests, apart from observation. If I remember correctly, he told me there wasn't any treatment, the cat wasn't in any pain or distress, and whenever he fell down it would only be a few inches so he wasn't likely to hurt himself.
