Biting Cat Doesn't respond to various training techniques

He's been neutered since July. His background is in a previous post, but the TL;DR version in case it's relevant: abandoned farm kitty taught to use litter box and fed semi-regularly gets taken home, then moves in with me in my studio apartment. I try to provide at least 20min of play daily...

Biting Cat Doesn't respond to various training techniques

My kitty (9months) loves play fighting. I'm fairly certain it's not actual aggression due to the lack of hissing, but of course I could be wrong. Nox will, at least two times a day, start biting and pouncing on my arms, hands, and feet. Hard.  I had tried water spray(less than a week? only a...

Way to keep cat off stovetop?

@Anne  Thank you for the link to the article! My main concern, however, is the fact that the stovetop produces heat and I worry I'll just end up melting plastic on a good day and starting a fire on a bad day. I just repurposed a ladder into a cat-tree-condo thing (still needs some finishing...

Way to keep cat off stovetop?

So my cat (9months) Equinox (Nox) and I recently moved into a studio apartment (very very tiny apartment). I've realized there's nothing that can really be mine in a 240 square foot space, but I don't like that he thinks it's okay to get on the stovetop, even after cooking (ie the stove is hot)...

"Failed" farm cat--should he come home?

...I legit totally forgot about that song. I mainly just thought "I don't remember how well known this word is, I don't want to get in trouble for offending someone" @KSKatt, the cat is mine. My parents like him because all they need to do is play with him, any more responsibility than that...

"Failed" farm cat--should he come home?

As A final update to this thread (but not, by any mean, the final word on Nox),  the vet visit went great, I have his neutering scheduled for July 22nd and all of management at work is thrilled that he's coming home with me.  In fact, I brought him home this weekend (I understand it's...

"Failed" farm cat--should he come home?

Really! I had understood that recovery time can be 2-7 days. In that case, will discuss with vet soonest time for neutering. The opinions made when you(I) don't understand cat anatomy can be correct in intention but not in action. Good to know
