I agree with what everyone has said. Our cat plays EXTREMELY rough with our dog (large German Shepherd) and I too would be scared he might hurt a kitten by "playing rough".
I hope you haven't been hitting him for meowing. He's only trying to communicate with you. I would advise ignoring him. If he learns he gets no response he might stop..

LOL, our cat trys to jump in the fridge all the time. TyTy gets caught sleeping in the candy bowl on the candy many times, but I'm never able to get a pic of it.
Oh, BTW, the house we got? $600 a month, compared to a smaller, worse house where we used to live that was $1050 a month! Much better prices, location, everything.
