Hi y'all:
I haven't posted in a while, but have gotten great feedback here whenever I needed it. The latest dilemma:
We have two cats, George and Zatar, both 8 y/o, male and female, neutered and spayed. They're indoor, New York City cates and their experience traveling is limited to short car...
It's cat pheromone in a form like a plug-in air freshener.
I tried it for my cats.
Not sure if that's what worked, but it didn't hurt.
You can google it to order on the net, but good pet suppliers also carry it.

Above all, hang in there.
We had a very similar incident a few months back (you could check out my "fighting cats" thread from July).
We got the cats checked out by a vet, got the female spayed and tried Feliway, vanilla extract, towel rubbing, Rescue Remedy, shampooing and a SLOW...
My two cats have some tastes that I haven't seem much of in my other cats through the years and I wonder if its more common than I knew.
Zart, our little (now spayed) female torty, MUST have greens fairly often. She loves lettuce and broccoli, especially. She is also very keen on soy-based...
Hi All:
About two months ago I wrote about my little unspayed 6 year old female Zart, that was attacking her adoption-mate, a much larger neutered male named George. After being close and friendly all their lives, she was suddenly vicious toward him and then both seemed afraid.
We took a lot of...
Hi Folks:
I've had some posts on the behavioral forum regarding my 6 year old female, Zart, who was suddenly aggressive toward her buddy of six years, George.
Did all the tests, and finally got her spayed (I know, I know), then was waiting for hormones to subside.
Then MORE tests to rule out...

Yeah, I'm familiar with Halcion, as well. It's a short acting anti-anxiety med in the valium class, but it has been banned for use in people because there were suicides associated with it. I was wondering whether others had tried it with their cats.
I'm much more inclined to non-med...
Thank you both.
We just took Zart - the little female terrorizer in a sweet tortoiseshell disguise - back in to the vet to rule out FIV, leukemia and thyroid issues (we had already done a basic check-up.
This was in preparation for the vet to prescribe medication on the advice of a behaviorist...
A few weeks ago I posted - "fighting cats" - and things are BAD.
We've had our cats for six years. They were adopted together, always got along, and were oh so very sweet.
The male was neutered, the female was not spayed.
Suddenly, she started viciously attacking him.
I followed everyone's...
First, Zanfel is NOT a medication, its a soap that you use and then rinse off. I'm sure that Georgie didn't ingest any.
Second, what is IIRC?
Thanks,
Craig
Hello All:
Is it possible to transmit poisen ivy to my cat?
Are they even susceptible to urushiol - the toxin in the plant (also in poisen oak and sumac)?
My Georgie licked my arm where I have a relatively mild outbreak (a few weeks old) which I've been treating with Zanfel.
I was worried that...
Yep - moles are considerably bigger - likely a vole or even a shrew. If it WAS a shrew, he's got a right to be proud - they're fierce little beasts...
Gotta watch for parasites on all rodents, though.
More goings on...
I inadvertantly left the door open in the bathroom adjoining the room where I was keeping Zart - I was in there with her, working.
I noticed that she wasn't in the room and went out to check, fearing the worst.
Imagine my surprise to find them each curled up on opposite ends...
