First of all, sorry for the long post!
My fiance and I took in a 10-month old male stray a couple of months ago, and at the beginning, he got along pretty well with our existing cats - a 4 year-old fat orange male and a 3 year-old tiny siamese female. We probably introduced them much too soon...
Thanks for all the tips! I'll get a steel comb this week and hopefully that will help. I'll also look into a mat splitter (although I have no idea what that would look like or what it does!)
On a happy note, a friend from out of town visited me this weekend, and she fell in love with the cat...
First some background:
A very friendly, and very drooly stray kitty recently decided to make our patio her permanent home. My boyfried and I have been feeding her, and we've rigged up a tarp over part of the patio with a couple of cozy sleeping spots underneath. She spends the nights under...

It's a wet food in those little tear-open packages and I've only seen it sold at Safeway here in Canada. It consists of what seems to be almost entirely raw fish and comes in flavours like "salmon and tuna" or oceanfish filets" and my cats both love it! I don't give it to them very often though...
I'm new to this forum, but I figured you folks would have some good advice...
I have two lovely cats: a chubby orange 18-month old (Búho), and a scrawny, hyperactive 5-month-old siamese (Ichiro). (I'd post a picture but I'm not sure how!) They both get a mixture of wet and dry food twice a...
