I've tried both commercial (i.e Fancy Feast) and natural foods (i.e. wellness, solid gold). He has the same reaction to both. His allergy symptoms started before I adopted him, when he was brought in by the shelter (they found him on a golf course hence the name bogie). He loses clumps of hair...
Hi All!
After months of trial and error, trips to the vet, and medication, it has been determined that my precious Bogie is allergic to commercial wet food. Has anyone else had this issue? How have you dealt with it? Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
I'm currently using Swheat litter and am kinda blah about it. The clumps stick to the box and it smells a little funky to me. I'm thinking about switching to Feline Pine. Has anyone had experience with Feline Pine (good or bad)? Thanks in advance!
Hi All,
Well, the newest member of the family came home today and since this is the first time I'm introducing Bogie to a new cat in his territory, I have a question. When I brought Teddie home, Bogie walked over the cage, peeked inside, and went to hide under the couch. Teddie is now hiding as...
Hi All!
Wondering if anyone has any experience with Dreamcoat (put out by Halo Products who also distribute Spot's Stew)? Supposed to be good for allergic kitties, which I have. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi All,
I'm thinking about getting a buddy for Bogie. Thing is, I'm moving August 1st and am wondering how long I should wait before bringing home another cat. I don't want to stress Bogie out any more than he already will be from the move. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi All,
In the last few days, I've noticed Bogie sounding a little more congested than usual (he's been to the vet before for this and they have determined he's okay and just has allergies). I've also noticed he's drooling a little bit when he sleeps. He seems fine otherwise, eating and drinking...
Hi All,
Wondering if anyone knows where to get a litter privacy screen like in the Drs. Foster/ Smith catalogue. I like those but am wondering if there are any others out there before I order. Thanks!
Since the weather has started warming up, Bogie has been a little sneezy. I know he already has regular allergies to dust and the like, but is it possible for him to have seasonal allergies as well?
P.S. He was just at the vet last week and is very healthy minus the existing allergies.
My cat had the exact same thing happen. He lost large clumps of hair all over his body. The vet narrowed it down to either an allergic reaction to food or to the anestesia (sp?) he was given when he was fixed. They ended up putting him on two medications and giving him a collodial oatmeal bath...
Hello all,
Yesterday I had to take Bogie to the vet (he was sneezing occasionally and sounded a little congestion). Turns out he's okay (they did a blood test just to be safe) but since we've returned from our little trip, he's been hiding under the bed, avoiding people, and won't really come...
