Okay so I took him to the vets yesterday as an emergency appointment and it turns out he had lots of crystals(?) in his bladder. That's been sorted and he's now okay to come home, and whilst here he'll need a special diet and I assume anti-biotics. On-top of that the original bill of £280 now...

I know, I read this elsewhere. The vet opens in 4 hours and I don't know of any emergency vets, so we'll just have to wait and hope for the best. Fortunately he's happily asleep at the moment though, so that gives me hope he'll be alright until we at least get to the vets.

So my cat is alternating between sleeping, trying but failing to pee and wailing in pain. A quick Google search suggests this is a Urinary Tract Infection, kidney failure or something of that sort. Obviously this has me very worried and I'm taking him to the vet ASAP when they open in a few...
