I have been dabbling in raw food, typically 1/2 a chicken thigh per day.  On sale I can find it for $.79 a pound, which means $3 worth of thighs lasts a week. I've been waiting for Connor's pedigree paperwork for nearly three months with two gentle reminders and gotten nothing, so maybe my breeder has "issues" too.  The newer "exotic" breeds aren't recognized by some registries, so for all I know he's not really a purebred at all.  Don't really care...

Just wanted to say that was the reason I was asking - to see if you had cat experience, because for a new cat owner, lots of behavior that might seem strange is pretty normal, I figured that was the best place to start.  Sorry if I offended you, hope your kitty is doing better.

Update:  Connor came through his neutering with flying colors and now neither one is ever going back there again.  Thank everyone for their kind wishes and support!  

Sorry to be so confusing.  Baby in the  basket picture (Connor) is a purebred highland lynx. The pointed kitty who was the focus of this post is a shelter kitty, probably not a purebred, but his name is Mojave Bob because we live on Mojave street.
