    weaning

moma grey had her babies five months ago. we only kept two and she still nurses them. sometimes she'll kick them off but most of the time not. should we be worried about this? i'd have thought she'd have weaned them by now...

    kitten with issue

he has a tail and he's a regular tabby. i didn't pull out hard poo, as it softened i got it away, b/c it was getting matted in his fur and then plugging up his butt. after all that yesterday, he's all plugged up again today. we tried to soak his baby butt but he isn't having it today - both...

    kitten with issue

we have a kitten who has a bottom probolem. we've had to wipe him off (as we've found him - he runs from us now) b/c when he poops its like it gums up the works. it was so bad just now (and we did this just yesterday) that i had to put him in some warm water (that went over REAL well) to...

    mom won't wean babies?

we have un-fixed males indoors so her getting pregnant again is possible even if she stays inside. we let her outside mainly because she asks to go. she was an indoor/outdoor girl until she got pregnant. we'd rather her go outside for a little bit than to claw the door/walls trying to get...

    mom won't wean babies?

we had thought she was but now it seems that she isn't. she has 6 seven week old kittens. they are eating solid food (wet and dry) and finally getting the hang of the litter box.. but i don't want to give them away (we're only keeping two) if she is still feeding. if she's outside (she's an...

    three cats two differant issues

one cat - a male (tramp) has started pee-ing everywhere. the worst place is on the stove so if we use our large burner it now has the most awful smell. even after replacing the burner pans. another male, stow, has started doing it - we caught him pee-ing in the bathroom sink in our room last...

    Strange Litter box problem

another reason to keep the string away - it can cause bowel problems. my miss kitty had to have a 3k surgery to remove some string she found. i'm very careful to cut strings off anything i see to avoid having to go through that again with any of ours.

    why?

there are six 4-week old kittens. i'm also wondering how long she will put up with kitten teeth - she screams everytime she nurses. we've put out extra kitten food but she hasn't shown it to them yet. we had thought about not spaying her yet (we're on a farm and wanted mousers) but after...

    why?

Is she living with the kittens and still getting kitten food? Is she still toileting the kittens? yes and yes i've had a cat that had a blockage and the vomit doesn't look the same. we've mixed kitten (dry) food in with her regular food as the vet told us to right before she had her...
