    How long do kittens suckle?

I agree with Lumpys Mom, Julie - you have a super husband - I don't think mine would quite allow that (I would though - I'm most happy when my other cat "Fig" cuddles in my armpit when we're in bed.

Thanks Sandie - I suppose you're right - maybe Sheba enjoys the closeness because her kittens are gone.

    How long do kittens suckle?

Abigail is almost 5 mo. old and still suckles whenever she can on Sheba. Sheba was spayed 1 1/2 mo. ago and obviously doesn't produce any milk but she lets Abi do it. Abi is almost the size of Sheba (Sheba is very tiny) and it's hard to tell them apart except that Sheba has a pink nose and...

    Update on "Sheba" Mommy Cat

I'm happy to say that "Sheba" is once again eating and her fur has stopped falling out. She is still thin but because I didn't know what she looked like before her pregnancy, assume that she is just a sleek cat. Her babies, "Goliath", "Sara", "Rebecca" and "Abigail" are now 7 weeks old, very...

Thank you for the information about baby food. I'll try that. Yes the kittens are still nursing from her as well. I'll try and separate them.

I'm a new member. I have one male cat, brown tabby, aged 7 named "Figaro". I recently took in an abandoned cat which I named "Sheba". She is lovely, long gray haired with pink nose, white under her chin and white paws. I suspected she was pregnant. She was very unhealthy looking. I took...
