Thanks for everyone's support and good wishes. The surgery was successful! August is still recovering, but here she was just a few hours ago... We still have no idea what in the world happened to her. Just so thankful she is safe and not missing, or even worse, forever lost.

So I spoke to the clinic and explained my situation -  they were willing to knock off $500 from the price of her procedure, so it'll be $2500. Also, her surgery got moved up to tomorrow, instead of Sunday! I'm going to just go ahead and have them do it - shopping around might save another...
