    What is this little guy?

He is a cute little guy! Thanks for the imput. The vet had mentioned Bengal also. Whatever he is, he looks different than the rest of the kittens I've seen.

Help...Transition: TUBE FEEDING to BOTTLE FEEDING

When I had to bottlefeed a kitten, I made the hole in the nipple much larger and squeezed the bottle so that the milk would kind of squirt into the kitten's mouth. If he closed his mouth then I would stick the nipple in the side of his mouth and squirt. Eventually he got the idea that warm milk...

    What is this little guy?

This is my parents' new kitten, Oliver. He has a really unique look with his huge eyes and ears, so they were wondering if he might be a mix of something. What do you think?

Sick kitten - how to help?

No worries! I wasn't offended or worried about causing conflict. I just want to help my little guy out and figured you were very emphatic about your all caps advice. Ha ha. I don't think we'll have any issues with eating - he's back to his piggy little self. Doing much better this afternoon -...

Sick kitten - how to help?

Thanks for the replies! Update: he slept well last night and has been acting more perky this morning. He had some KMR (yes, this is kitten formula) and seemed to really enjoy that. Last night he was also ate some of his kitten kibble (Royal Canin) and big brother's kibble (also Royal Canin) as...

Sick kitten - how to help?

I should start by saying that Noah is seeing the vet daily - I'm just wondering if there's anything i can do to help him get over this. Yesterday my 10 week old kitten Noah started acting really lethargic, he just wanted to sleep all day and he's usually quite active. He had no interest in...

shampoo- where do you buy yours and do you have any recs.?

Do you mean that I don't need a conditioner with cat specific shampoos? Also, are all cat shampoos kitten-safe?

    entertaining a new kitten

With my new kitten Noah I started taking a warm, wet paper towel and "grooming" him after he eats. (I got this idea after hearing about how animals bond to thier mothers...) He now thinks I'm his momma and is super cuddly and friendly.

New Kitten, not sure how old, not eating...

Thanks everyone! I think he's pretty adorable. Here's the update. Vet said he's a 7 week old dilute calico, healthy and happy, and obviously adjusting well to the adoption as he's very snuggly with me. He said to not worry too much about the eating. At his size (1.5 lbs), his tummy is so small...

shampoo- where do you buy yours and do you have any recs.?

Is the Johnson's and Johnsons pet safe? I'm assuming so, since you use it. I'm always so paranoid that I'll leave shampoo residue and they'll get sick. I rinse for like 5 minutes after shampooing.

    entertaining a new kitten

Before buying a ton of toys, I would see if you could figure out what he likes. Some cats like the feathery toys, other prefer strings. I've bought probably 30-40 different cat toys and Moses only likes about 10 of them. And I know that I recommend this to everyone who asks...but I think this...

    leash training?

Moses is semi-leash trained. He's to the point that he'll tolerate the harness and leash if he really wants to explore outside. We started by putting on a harness regularly, then putting the leash on and letting him lead and sniff things outside. He's not to the point where I can walk him like...

Big kitten at birth = big adult cat?

Thanks. This makes sense. I think humans can be the same way. Preemies aren't always small, and large newborns aren't neessarily large adults.
