Pancreatitis / Possible IBD or Lymphoma Cat vomiting - HELP!!!

Thank you. :) I just got back from the vet. They administered SubQ fluids and gave him an anti-nausea injection. Hopefully he'll stop vomiting/heaving and I can get a little food and water in him in the morning. At the very least I just want to keep him stable until I talk to the specialist on...

Pancreatitis / Possible IBD or Lymphoma Cat vomiting - HELP!!!

Hey, First of all, I am willing to take Leo to an ER vet right now, but as his pancreatitis/IBD diagnosis is relatively new I don't know what's to be expected and what isn't. Leo was recently diagnosed with Pancreatitis and possible IBD/small cell lymphoma (we are treating for IBD rather than...

Weak and wobbly cat, So-So Appetite

I have syringe fed him before. For now he is eating some of his food and I can encourage him to eat more by sprinkling fortiflora on his food. I have a feeling that by tomorrow I'll have to force-feed him, though. Yesterday he ate about 3/4 of a full-size can of Wellness and a few treats. Today...

Weak and wobbly cat, So-So Appetite

I agree, and I took him in. They drew blood for a full panel, so I'll have those results on Monday. They also tested a stool sample, though that was negative for any parasites. He is moving around the house, but he'll walk a few steps and then stop, as though maybe he's in pain. Then he keeps...

Weak and wobbly cat, So-So Appetite

Hi all, I've scoured the forums but this seems to be a somewhat unique situation. My 15-year-old cat, Leo, who has a history of chronic liver infections (though his blood panels have been great for the past year and a half), became very lethargic and stopped eating earlier in the week. I...

Update on Leo: Elevated ALT & Glucose

I posted a couple weeks ago about Leo having a very elevated ALT of 660 and an elevated Glucose of 300. He was vomiting white foam and not eating. It has been two weeks since his initial admission (he came home once but only lasted about 8 hours before symptoms re-appeared) and is now back home...

Leo is vomiting clear, foamy liquid

I don't know. I'll ask when I call this morning. I think they're going to run panels again at 10am.

Leo is vomiting clear, foamy liquid

Just called the vet. He has not vomited since admission this morning. He is slightly more alert, and it appears his numbers are improving. ALT 10am 660 10pm 494 Glucose 10am 295 10pm 186 (Less than 2 months ago, both his ALT and Glucose were within the normal range).

Leo is vomiting clear, foamy liquid

Thanks for your thoughts. I am trying to stay positive but it's hard not to think of the worst case scenario. I'm confused about the elevated liver enzymes. He had his senior blood panels done less than 2 months ago and everything was fine. Is diabetes linked to the elevated liver enzymes?

Leo is vomiting clear, foamy liquid

He was doing worse this morning so I took him back to the vet. The vet just called and said that his liver is inflamed (high liver enzymes) and is currently diabetic (though he's not sure if this is a chronic condition or not). He threw out lots of things, like it could be cancer, could be...

Leo is vomiting clear, foamy liquid

Immediately after posting, I decided to not wait for a reply and take him to the ER. But then I found him wandering around and he purred when I petted him. So I called the vet and based on what I told them, they said to bring him in first thing. Hubby took him in first thing this morning and...

Leo is vomiting clear, foamy liquid

All of my cats are on scheduled eating. Leo ate lunch at 1pm today (Authority wet). When I got home at 6pm, there was a LARGE pool of vomit in the bathroom, and a pool of clear vomit in the hall. I found Leo curled up in a ball in my closet. I brought him out and held him on my lap to see how...

    Reminder to all: Urinary issues

Me too. Countless times. I would say that more often than not, we use our emergency fund for after hours veterinary visits.
