Thank you all for your support. It was surprisingly tough. I can't believe how much I cried. I guess she wasn't meant to live. I couldn't even come back here and read the thread! We're good now. The other three kittens are healthy and happy. Two are already in new homes and the last is leaving...
It seems to try and suck, but doesn't succeed. I put my finger at her mouth and immediately she tried to suck, but she doesn't seem to have enough oomph to really accomplish anything productive.
Mommy insists I let her take her back to the nest, but then ignores her!! So strange
Not to sound cruel, but would it be better to let the kitten die, as it would naturally? I mean, is the fact that she's struggling now an indication that she may have more problems in the future, if she survives?
another person said (I posted somewhere else too to get a responce faster) said that mommy may be shunning him because she detects some illness or something and .. I don't know, expects the kitten to die?
what kind of bottle?? her mouth is so small... i have a ssmall corner store and a safeway up the street, i can't imagine either having a small enough nipple for the bottle. Can I just hold the kitten to the mommy's nipple? So far I've put a towel on a heater to warm it up, and have the kitten in...

All the other ones are warm and active trying to get milk and huddle together. But one was off to the side and just laying there, only slightly moving. So I reached down and noticed she...
Well, she's healthy and happy, still playing and taking adventures outside. We've started moving things around: my bf used to keep some of his clothes in little baskets underneath his couches and we realized that soon they may be a good nesting ground.
I was wondering, do cats normally prefer...
Ohh, I've never given any sort of cat nip to my cats... I so want to try it now!!
Cat nip only for full grown cats or can a little be given to kittens?
Yeah, we can't do the candle thing either! My bf's cat is terrible for nocking things over. She just doesn't care! Prances around on the coffee table or shelves and knocks off mugs and chapstick and whatever else is there, and then just looks disinterestedly at the stuff on the floor and goes...
Well... We're going to take her into the vet as soon as we can. I suppose it's the only real thing we can do. I wish there was like... kitty-medicare or something lol, just to make it easier.
We're in New Westminster, BC. We've already looked up some of the low cost places, and one seems to be...
