    Cat Randomly Throwing Up

Mostly, he’ll be asleep in the middle of the night or in the middle of the day, wake up, and then throw up. The vomit is a little mixture of undigested food and bile. Nothing has changed with his eating habits or timing. Maybe I can try giving him more frequent and smaller meals to see if...

    Cat Randomly Throwing Up

My 5yo male cat regularly throws up when he eats too fast, but — lately — he has been waking up hours after eating and throwing up. I took him to the vet and everything came back fine — bloodwork, urinalysis, etc. Bathroom usage is fine and he’s as playful as ever. The vet gave him anti-nausea...

    Odd Litter Box Behavior

Thanks, everyone! We just got back from the vet. We’re waiting on a urinalysis, but everything else seems normal. I also haven’t noticed any more nonproductive trips yet. But we’ll be watching him closely. Now, we just need him and his brother to get along again (bad scent blindness).

    Odd Litter Box Behavior

Thanks so much! Nothing much has changed. We have another cat two years younger than him, but only one litter box since we live in a small apartment. He had been isolated in the bedroom with a different litter box a couple of times last month when our other cat came home from the vet (dental...

    Odd Litter Box Behavior

My four-year-old male cat jumped into the litter box a couple of weeks ago. He looked like he was peeing, but jumped out about a minute later without doing anything and not scratching the sides of the box like normal. I didn't think too much of it because he went back and did his business about...

    Cats seem hungrier than usual

One is 2 years old and the other is 4 years old. I’ve had them since they were kittens. I haven’t noticed any weight fluctuations recently.

    Cats seem hungrier than usual

Both our cats seem to be a bit hungrier than normal over the past couple of weeks - mostly at night. I know this could be a sign of something being wrong, but it seems like it’s odd that both cats are experiencing it at the same time. Could it be the change in seasons since it’s getting colder...

    Cats' play turning aggressive

Our two-year-old male cat and our four-year-old male cat love to play, but it's become more aggressive over the past few months. Specifically, they seem to be biting each other harder than before. Then, they act cautiously around each other for a few hours. Any suggestions on getting them to...

Cat aggressive after other’s vet visit

Yes, it went away after about two days after the first incident but it took a few more for them to get completely back to normal. We got very aggressive about scent swapping. So, we would use their grooming brush on one and then use it on the other without cleaning it. We did that for about two...

Cat aggressive after other’s vet visit

Thanks for the advice, everyone! I really appreciate it. Good news! I think they're mostly back to normal. The turning point came yesterday afternoon when we spent about an hour brushing Ralph, our older cat, and then brushing Rabbit, our younger cat, and then repeating the process a few times...

Cat aggressive after other’s vet visit

Our older cat has been hissing and swatting at our younger cat, who was at the vet yesterday for a checkup. I know this is a scent issue. So, I’ve been rubbing them with the towels and blankets that they like to dilute the scents and all that fun stuff. We also kept them separated overnight...

    Cat Suddenly Terrified Of Bedroom

Hi, everyone! We recently moved into a new apartment — about three weeks ago. Our cats (a three-year-old male and a seven-month-old male) adjusted just fine. Then, two days ago, our youngest cat was in the bedroom when we heard a commotion. He ran out into the living room and froze — shaking...

New Kitten/older Cat Territorial Over Same Space

Hello, all! I just adopted a four-month-old kitten. We live in an NYC apartment with limited space, but we do have a spare room. Unfortunately, it's the room where we typically keep our older cat's litterbox and food. We moved that into the living room so the kitten can have the spare room to...

    Need Dry Food Recommendations

This picture is from last week. I actually weighed him after I posted my thread to make sure he's still around 11 pounds. He is 10.6 lbs as of today! According to my vet, 10-11 lbs is perfectly normal for an adult cat. So, it's about a weight-maintaining diet to make sure the kitty isn't...
