I'm thinking of getting a couple purebred cats sometime in the near future, for breeding. WHat's the best breed for an amateur? I'm thinking Maine Coon or Bengal, maybe.

Well, actually, the kitten is here . Alli gave birth to two kittens during the night. By the time we found them around 6:00 this morning, one was pretty much dead. I think it broke its neck, because it wasn't moving much, it just kept opening and closing its mouth, and its head was unstable, it...

My favorite memory is of my second cat, Smokey. Once I went outside with some meat scraps, and all of our cats, about five or six of them, gathered around me, but Smokey actually climbed up my leg, trying to get the meat. It was so funny.

Is a cat who is spayed after having a litter of kittens more at risk to develop cancer than a cat who never has kittens? I know this is kind of off-topic, but I've been wondering if it will benefit Alli much besides the fact that she won't be constantly caring for kittens.

Actually I had thought to find a no kill shelter that I could take the cat to, as I'm having trouble raising money to get my own cat spayed. Does anyone know of a no-kill shelter in central Michigan?
