Could it be a food allergy causing the poop issue?  I had a similar problem and found out Puma was allergic to turkey and grains.  I switched food and within 3 days his poop was firm and normal ever since (2yrs ago).  The problem is it's hard to find a single protein cat food.

I am cleaning his teeth but not with a brush and paste. My vet advised to use dental wipes with chlorhexidine glauconite instead. But clearly the wipes don't work so tomorrow when I go on the impossible hunt again for food I will get some enzyme paste and try that. Thank you.
