    Switching Foods, Terribly Stinky Poo/Urine?

Oh no!  I've tried BG and I don't think it gave my guys stinky poo.  Have you switched litter?  My cats boxes smelled soooo much worse the one time I got the "wrong" litter.  Made a huge difference!

    dry food dilemma

I disagree, there are several brands that have a better ingredients list than Authority.  Several brands have more meat as primary ingredients and fewer fillers.  Wellness Core is an example. Also, I'm not sure how you are not convinced that grain-free is ANY better than with grain foods...

Cat protesting against healthier food. Worried!

WHENEVER YOU DRASTICALLY CHANGE A CAT'S FOOD YOU SHOULD DO SO UNDER VET SUPERVISION. As to whether or not you should worry about FHL, I don't think anyone here can tell you that as loss of appetite IS the biggest symptom.  I would go see the vet ASAP. Sounds like there is a lot going on with...

    Two-Cat Household

Sorry I'm late, but I wouldn't expect them to be fighting/playing ALL the time.  Neither of my cats seemed distressed.  I put a litter box, food, water, and a few toys and I went in there frequently to have 1 on 1 time.  You could rotate them out of the bathroom.  This may also help because...

Changed cat Diet - Need advise

I am so sorry to hear your kitty suffered a blockage but glad that he is okay and that you are paying more attention to his diet now!  It does sound like the cats are starving and not receiving enough food.  And as domesticated cats, eating once a day is probably counter productive to them...

Help on a cat "SUPER" food. Is it too good to be true??

If you're looking for a canned food you can feed both, innova evo's 95% formulas are the same. You can confirm with the company but that's great in terms of buying one product for cats and dogs.

Should I switch to Diet Food?

Thanks for the input everyone! The vet would be happy with 11lbs or 12lbs at most. Thanks I'd prefer to continue with his current food so I think we will try this. That's what I thought, that a grain free wet had to better for my cat overall than a diet dry. It just dawned on me I need to get...

    Two-Cat Household

I have 2 cats, but I got them at the same time. To me that doesn't sound like playing. I know it's not optimal, but I would use a bathroom to separate them and re-introduce over time. Good luck!!

Should I switch to Diet Food?

Hi, I'm hoping for some thoughtful opinions. I have a 15lb 3 year old cat trying to get down to a healthier weight. My vet took a blood and urine sample and found nothing alarming so he recommended Science Diet over what he currently eats which is wellness grain free wet. We agreed we'd wait...

can you really force a cat to eat wet?

One of mine rotated between grain-free dry foods and loved them and would never touch wet food. It was rough, but he's now on all wet and he seems to like his new food. I mixed wet and dry gradually and eventually stopped offering dry food. I was afraid my cat would simply not eat, but by the...

Cat Meowing Insistantly Non-stop on an off for hours....

Oh and I have tried feliway with mixed results. It helped moderately with spraying. There are also chewables you can get from your vet called 'composure' that

Cat Meowing Insistantly Non-stop on an off for hours....

I have 2 cats, one of whom is extremely noisy as well. I'm sorry you all haven't found a solution but I do hope you will keep looking and not give him away. I agree with the earlier poster that it sounds like it might be worth checking to make sure the neutering was done completely, by a...

POLL: Ability to Afford Premium Food v. Ownership

better for who? For the family sure, but is meow mix better nutrition wise than what a cat would come in contact with if it had to hunt for its food? I guess in some cases it is, and in others, it probably is not.

POLL: Ability to Afford Premium Food v. Ownership

Of course there are other factors that make someone competent to own a cat, and the ability to provide quality food is a factor. I would never get a cat and feed the equivalent of McDs daily just because IMO it's better than living on the streets. If you can't help a situation, best to leave...
