Hi everyone :wave3:

What are your 'it's expensive, but worth it's worth it' products ?

I've got two that I can think of at the moment.

First one is toilet paper :agree: I hate cheap toilet paper, so, I always spend extra on that.
Second is work shoes - I'm on my feet all day. I want something comfortable and that's going to last. I brought cheap shoes once and could barely walk by the end of my shift.

There are certain kinds of foods that I will not buy generic brand or buy the cheaper version- Like chicken breasts, deli meat, cheese.

Shower heads are worth investing in for me, I hate when water doesn't flow out nicely.
Kitchen knives. I bought Cutco knives. They were a great investment. Very expensive, but totally worth it.
My couch. Worth the price. I must have something nice to sit on.

Ever Clean, Dior foundation and good fabric. I make costumes, and cheap fabrics just don't cut it. Dior foundation has been my go-to for over a decade, worth the reasonable price tag, and Ever Clean litter is by far worth it to have a clean smelling house, and fresh smelling kitties.

This may seem odd but a good hair cut, i.e. went to one of my husband's relatives who co-owns a beauty shop and learned the old adage is true, "you get what you pay for."

TP, paper towels and kleenex, pet food and most human food and drinks. I always try to buy organic when I can.

Diamonds. I only have one, my engagement ring, but it's flawless and beautiful. My boss some years ago got engaged and shyly showed me her engagement ring. I was stunned. At first I thought it was dirty, but on a second look, realized it was so occluded that it looked gray through and through. Yuck.

-Shoes. Last longer, and I don't get sore feet or blisters.

-Makeup.

-Skincare. Huge difference in how my skin feels and looks, no doubt. It is true that you get what you pay for, no matter what nay sayers say - I could write a whole essay long thing about it but will stop there!

-Perfume. Just worth the superior and quality scent, and lasts longer.

-Animal Food. Obvious one

-Chocolate. I just can't go back to cheap chocolate for a variety of reasons  The taste, how little you really need to feel satisfied, how long it lasts. Yum!

-Toilet Paper and Tissues.

-Pants. I can get away pretty easily with happily getting nice tops or dresses from thrift stores, and lounge house pants or pajama bottoms are fine to get cheap, but I need to get good quality pants that are new. Similar premise, they last much longer, are more flattering and definitely waaaayyy more comfortable.

-Bras and undies. Not a fan of constantly needing to readjust or be uncomfortable, or have them fall apart after only a a few washes.

-Winter jackets or rain coats

-Various food stuffs

-Tea

Yeesh looking at it all together like that makes me look so uppity :paperbag:

there are some things that seem 'expensive', but they're good quality so they last much longer than the less costly of the same items.

most times, i prefer to stay in the mid-range prices for items, somewhere around the middle between cheap and expensive.

there's one exception for me, and that's LL Bean shoes, boots, and slippers. they're all 'lifetime guaranteed'. for these, i'm buying quality and getting the best 'deal'.

toilet paper, cat food and treats, paints and stains, power tools, shoes and boots are just a few of the things i'll pay more for because they're of better quality and in one way or another will save money in the long term.

Yes! I agree with this one. I can economise on many things but toilet paper is not one of them.

Good face moisturiser is another thing I don't mind spending a bit extra on. As long as it's good quality and Cruelty Free I'll buy it. Actually, I spend a bit more on shampoo, conditioner and cosmetics because I'll only by the cruelty free stuff.

Bra for sure. I am a rather large-top and it's near impossible for me to find bras in my size. It's probably the only thing I have that I am willing to spend more money on than anything else

Air conditioning. It literally costs 10x as much to air condition my house in July than it does to heat it in January, but life would not be worth living without it, and my work productivity would go down the drain (so it actually saves money in he end.)

I guess my k-cups. I don't think they're expensive, certainly not along the lines of Starbucks, but I get ragged about k-cups every time my Keurig box comes in the mail. I won't drink the rot-gut stuff here; I just won't.

My hair. I know it's an expense every month to get my roots touched-up. I'm not ready to go grey yet, so I spend the money. I used to do my own hair, but heavens, what a mess I made. It's easier to let the stylist do it.

As a rule, I try to buy quality products for my face and my hair. But I really do try to always keep some on hand to get me through til I find a good sale with coupons that I can use.

Everything?
Ok that's not true because I hate spending a lot of money on clothing because I ruin everything.
So, really good food, personal care products (face wash, shampoo, etc.), hair color/cuts.
And coffee. I really dislike bad or average coffee.
