...with the cats...
Good afternoon!

Let’s try something new and (hopefully) fun for today’s Question of the Day. Let’s have a good old fashioned ice cream social -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_cream_social   ! We can make (imaginary) ice cream sundaes, or have your ice cream (or sherbet, gelato, frozen yogurt, etc) any way you'd like to, and socialize...... and you can go back for seconds, or thirds, etc on the (imaginary) ice cream too.

So, You’re making your ice cream -- sundae, cone, dish, etc! What flavor(s) of ice cream would you like? Any toppings?

I’ll start!

......I’ll have French Vanilla ice cream, 3 scoops! And strawberry topping, sliced almonds, and sprinkles (the multi colored kind, with no chocolate) on it!

and for contribution to some conversation -- Who's going to give a taste of their ice cream to their cat(s)?  ......of course, no chocolate or toppings (for humans) for the kitties
......although, some crumbled cat treats would be a nice topping!

Okay, now it's your turn!

I want a dish with a scoop of lime sherbet, orange sherbet and raspberry sherbet, with chocolate sprinkles.  Add some pineapple chunks and almond slivers.

I'd love a banana split. One scoop each of vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate, with caramel syrup on the vanilla, strawberry syrup on the strawberry, and chocolate syrup on the chocolate. All on a sliced banana with whipped cream and a cherry on top.

If I had it, I could never get it all down these days. But once a century ago, I did.

Oh and none for the kitties. Cocoa dislike everything related to dairy and while Casper would love to have a lick, he's in remission for diabetes so there's just no need for that!

One scoop of chocolate fudge ice cream, one scoop of peppermint ice cream in a waffle cone.  Kinda like an ice cream version of peppermint bark.

Two scoops of vanilla ice cream, hot fudge and caramel sauce, whipped cream, pecans, and of course a cherry on top.  Kind of a Turtle sundae.   I would give each of the kitties a little of the plain ice cream, they would probably sniff at it and walk away.

Vanilla soft serve in a waffle bowl with gummy bears, hot fudge and real whipped cream. The cats have never tasted dairy. I don't think I'd try giving them any. I'd give them some cooked chicken breast or some Pure Bites.

I don't like ice-cream. I'm not a big fan of sweet things in general and try to avoid dairy products. I can't eat anything cold either. Makes my teeth hurt just thinking about it.

Give me a big mug of tea instead and I'll be happy.

I love ice cream. And I love chocolate.  So any combination of the two works for me.

None for Ruby. She shows no interest in dairy at all.  Now if we were discussing potato chips ...

I will get a dish of soft serve vanilla for   Honeybe.  She LOVES dairy queen soft serve vanilla=she gets her own kiddie cone. she does eat the cone too. That cat is part human. If I am eating it=she wants some. I only let her have a few licks and only a nibble of cone. not the crunchy cone but that standard nonsweet cone.

but since I don't eat ice cream much-I will stick with vanilla. I used to have it dipped in chocolate coating-that one that hardens. Yum. and if I eat hard icecream-I put it in a bowl and mash it until it's soft like pudding...otherwise it hurts my teeth. I don't care for other flavors or stuff on it except for caramel/butterscotch topping. and make that cone a LARGE. That I could eat no problem.

That sounds good to me Denice!  but like Muffy said, I'd add brownies at the bottom!  I love the Ben & Jerry's chocolate fudge brownie! However, I'd have to also pretend that eating it wouldn't lead to me doubled over in pain!  I don't know if there's enough lactaide to combat all that ice cream!
Definitely worth a few bites anyway!!
