These sleeping cats look so cute when they are sleeping. Those  are really pretty cats! It's amazing how many colors and shapes they come in. Just like people!  ;-) Such beautiful cats!

@TabbyTom. ..
of course she drinks water...however she will have nothing to do with wet food...we have tried your way and no go....thats ok because I feed my cats dry anyways...wet food has always only been for treat...I'm not looking to change their food or the type of food they eat...I was just mentioning how she hates wet food which is kind of odd...cool that your cat will go to the tap for water [emoji]128522[/emoji]
Hi CatMom,

 That's good that your cat eats chicken, or other meat. At least she isn't just eating dry food all the time. I think that's why so many cats have urinary problems. They are fed just dry food only. I feed my cats wet and dry food. They eat the dry during the day, and the wet during the night. They like the canned food with all the gravy. LOL They lick the gravy first, then later come back and eat the meat. I pick up the dry food to make sure they eat most or all their meat. Then if they did a good job on their canned food, I give them the dry food. But I make sure they at least get some protein. I can't afford to feed them the really expensive food, but I try to make sure they get a good meal. My larger cat Shadow got "hooked" on dry food. I think he likes the crunchy flavor. When I get some discount coupons, I buy that dry cat food Purina Beyond, that's gluten-free, and grain-free. He really likes that.
But I try to make sure they get wet food too. So far they haven't had any urinary problems. Thank Goodness! When they go outdoors, they eat some grass too, so that helps. I even read an article that said that cats could eat parsley. I grew some parsley this summer, but I haven't tried them out on that yet. Maybe I'll put some in their wet food and see if they eat it. I'll keep you posted.

You know I've been a cat owner my whole life...never have I dealt with kidney or urinary issues EVER!!! However with that being said...I use Purina Naturals indoor formula...it works wonders even to where their poo doesn't smell like it used to...and when we were in France they didn't have the Naturals but the has for sterilized cats to help them not get urinary infection...so yes keep me posted if you'd like..

A www......feel so sad for your loss of Spotty [emoji]128546[/emoji]
What a beautiful cat [emoji]10084[/emoji]️
Thank you. He was sweet. Not all cats like to be picked up but he loved it. He enjoyed being held an carried around like a baby and he would lean into me and purr. He gave head butts, wanted attention all the time. He insisted on sleeping next to my head every night. Of course this makes it even harder. He had a unique purrsonality. He was not afraid of the vacuum cleaner. I once had a big party at my place once. Rosie will hide from lots of people but Spotty was brave, there was an empty beach chair in my kitchen and he jumped in it and sat in it among many people as if to say "hey, what's up?" He just hated veterinarians. They got the hissing and growling treatment and he was feisty with them. But I know it's because he was scared. That's why it wasn't a peaceful ending. And I'm now considering a holistic vet who does house calls. The last vet visit and the euthanasia could have been much less stressful for Spotty if I had done this. This also makes it even harder. Of course now I'm the one suffering because I miss him so much. Spotty no longer is.

Well, when an animal suffers in sickness and at the end it couldn't make it, the ones that was hit the hardest are us. When my last pet died some 20 years ago, we told ourselves, no more animals. It's so heart breaking when they pass on. So we held on for these 20 odd years with lots of temptation in between to get another pet. But this year, we rescued January and that's how we we ended up with a cat, I'm not complaining but loving it.
This is the path we chose and so we have to bear with it but at least we know that we are giving the felines a good home. In the painful memories, lies lots of happiness too. So just cherish those moments as we can't hold on to things forever.

That's what I'm now doing with Rosie. And I will adopt again.
