The look in his eyes speaks volumes. That is how my boy looks at me.

I completely agree.  What a beautiful photo.

He does have a beautiful expression, doesn't he? He has so many stories to tell, I bet.

Thank you, everyone!
He was really a special cat - highly intelligent with an easy-going mellow personality.  We used to converse and we understood each other - it was uncanny.  He lived to be 19 but had to travel to the bridge after a stroke left him unable to walk and in pain.  But, oh, yes, he could have told some stories, I'm sure.  He was an indoor/outdoor cat for his first 12 years and used to drop in on all the neighbors.

I'm one of the ones that don't understand, I guess. Could you elaborate further please?
There was a black cat called Jiji in a Japanese anime called Majo No Takubin, or Kiki's Delivery Service in English. Kiki was a trainee witch who opened her own broomstick delivery service.

Oh yeah, now I remember. I was in Japan years ago, and recall it well.

It's a great movie, isn't it? I'm a big Miyazaki Hayao fan.

Which part of Japan were you in?
Well, I've had a few concussions since I was there, but I was in Tokyo for a bit, and I believe I was also in Hiroshima for a day or two. I do know I spent a night in Nagasaki. Being in the two cities that got nukes dropped on them back in '45 is sobering. I loved Tokyo. I also saw Sonic the Hedgehog in its original Japanese language, and it was weird to say the least. Tokyo was great.
