Good Afternoon!
and, Happy Valentine's Day!
it's winter where i live, and lately we've had some extremely cold weather. makes me envy those of us who live in warmer climates!
with these thoughts on my mind, for today's Question of the Day........
How do you keep warm during the cold winter months? or, if you live in a warm climate -- How do you stay cool during the hot summer months?
i'll start!
the wood stove usually keeps me and the cats plenty warm. last night, and probably again tonight, i did let the furnace run 'as back up' for the wood stove. this is the first time i've needed to do that, it was that cold! starting this winter, i'll no longer get up to add more wood to the stove more than 3 times per night -- i need my sleep!
other ways i keep warm are: wearing thermal tops and bottoms, wearing sweatshirts/pants over the thermals, cooking/baking -- using the oven, the heated mattress pad on my bed (i love that thing!) and the flannel and microplush sheets, having hot meals/soups often, snuggling with the cats
, and generating warmth by moving firewood and doing other chores. i don't usually drink hot beverages like tea, coffee, or hot chocolate.
okay, now it's your turn!
