Tainted Love, originally composed by Ed Cobb and was originally recorded by Gloria Jones in 1964. it attained worldwide fame after being covered by Soft Cell in 1981, and has since been covered by many groups and artists.

i knew the song title, and was familiar with Soft Cell's version, then did a web search and found out more about it. love learning something new!
