Swept up all the crumbs from Mouse's frantic biscuit hunt in the sitting room last night coz I'm fed up getting them stuck to my feat....

Gave Mouse a rub down with a nice cool damp cloth after a wild feather chasing game in the bedroom

Walked up the road with the sole intention of buying a tub of Ben n Gerries and demolished the lot as soon as I got back in (a much nicer way to cool down that a wipe down with a damp cloth 

 )   This hot weather's doing my waistline no favours!

Vacuum and dust - all Maggie has to do is walk through the living room and there's blonde dog hair everywhere! Rick took her outside last night and gave her a good brushing.

Work in the flowerbeds for awhile 

(I don't have to mow the yard today; we haven't had enough rain to warrant any mowing lately)

Well, I didn't think I'd have to mow the yard yesterday. Dear Richard had other plans. He had been outside working in the front flowerbed and when he came in for a cold drink, he asked me if I was going to mow. I didn't think I had to, but he did. So I mowed the yard yesterday. I don't mind mowing and I like to see the neatness of the yard when it's been freshly mowed.

Today:

Going home over lunch to let Miss Maggie out to pee

 (She's going home tomorrow night and I'm going to miss that girl)

Grocery shopping

Pick green beans and get them into the freezer

Gosh, haven't been in the CL much this week!! So that will be my number one today. The CAT LOUNGE!! :lol3:

2. House cleaning today! :slant: Need to try out my new vacuum. Gave my older one (but in great shape) to my daughter for her new apartment.
3. Grocery shopping today! Make a dinner meal plan for the week.

Moved my car from its usual spot so it doesn't get towed tomorrow - parking restrictions in the street for one day

Washed dishes - endless task. I swear there's a gremlin in my kitchen that puts them there....

Gave in to Mouse's cute pose requests for endless belly rubs throughout the day - hard work but someone had to do it

Spend some time with Mollipop. She had some issues with Maggie being about in the house. While it didn't really stop her from eating, after the first day or so, Molli hasn't really come to bed with me much at night. Maggie has been sleeping on the floor next to me and that meant that Molli had to walk around her to get to the bed. I'd bring her to bed, but she'd hop back off and run back out to the living room. So my Miss Pop and I need to spend some quality time together tonight.

Laundry and linens! Love the smell of fresh linens. I have a lavender scented linen spray and I SO look forward to going to bed to that scent. :lol3:
LOTS of calls to make in regards to the house repair. Insurance, mortgage company, carpenter and roofers.
Give Perla some extra loving time later. Wendall has been picking on her. :wife: The little brat.

Tonight is Day 2 of pickle-making (the cinnamon pickles take about four days from start to finish)

:lol3: 60 MILES AWAY!!!!!!!!!!! Guess I can't complain that my nearest Trader Joe's is about 65 miles away. I used to shop there all the time when we lived in IL. I miss TJ'S!! Have a safe drive.

1. Bike ride and do errands at the same time! Stop at Hallmark, Post Office then carry on with my 5 mile bike ride.
2. Dump/scrub cat pans.
3. Quarterly Crime Watch meeting at Town Hall tonight.

Still no truck, so stuck home again. I did clean the upstairs yesterday before allergies and asthma kicked in and forced me to stop. Still raining out also.


I really need to clean out one of the downstairs closets. It's at the point I'm not even sure what is in there anymore.
In the next week or so I need to make chocolate ice cream, chocolate chip cookies and macaroni and cheese. I'm thinking I may make one or more today.
