My cats paw leather is really dry and rough. Do you have any recommendations as to what I can do? Is a lotion like Cetaphil cream, which is hypoallergenic and fragrance free OK to use, or should I stick with something like petroleum jelly (isn't petroleum jelly a home remedy for hairballs?)? I used clay litter for a long time, and his paw leather was always really dry and rough, then I switched to crystals and his paws got very smooth and soft, and now they are dry and rough again.
It drives me nuts! |

Yes they even say to put the petrolium on the paws to get them to lick it off for hairballs. Also bag balm is a good moisturizer for dry pads in animals.

I agree with Sandy. I keep Bag Balm in my house at all times. I also use a pine litter and have no problems. Good luck and please keep us posted.
