How much do you spend on scoopable litter?

Those of you who buy scoopable litter: how much do you spend per cat per month?

Please answer in US dollars if possible.

It would also be helpful if you could give how many pounds of litter/cat/month, as well as the brand of litter. Thanks!

Around $9 for four large litter boxes (around 40lbs) for the adult cats and $15 (45lbs) for the kittens' litter box. I'll be glad when I can get the kittens off of clay.

ETA: I use chicken crumbles for the adult cats' boxes. It does clump.

About $12 for a 40 lb bucket from Sam's Club.

I go thru a 40 pound bag of Cat Attract and a large bin (28 lbs?) every other week. With 10 cats using the boxes, that comes to about $7.50 per cat per month. If I guessed low, which I probably did, it's probably more like $10 per month per cat.

I use clay litter. 100 pounds lasts me about 6 weeks, and costs about $12 every six weeks. 3 cats. Hmm...so that would be $2 a week....$8 a month divided by three cats, so about $2.66 a month per cat for clay litter.

I have four litter boxes, and scoop at least four times a day, and dump and scrub weekly.

I realize you wanted clumping litter stats, but felt like posting anyway.

We use the 17lb bags of (corn) original WBCL @ approximately $20 a bag, without a coupon....
usually about 1 1/2 bags a month.

Swheat Scoop at 14 pounds for just under $11. When there is a sale, it's $9. I buy two bags every month. I'd buy the larger bag but I have neither a car nor space in the apartment to store it.

Yes, clumping litter was what I meant...I guess people scoop non-clumping litter, too...I've never bought it, so I don't really know. But by "scoopable" I meant "clumping".

Interesting answers so far...

I use Dr. Elseys Precious cat litter - 1 40lb bag about $18-20, per month, for the three cats combined.

I buy various brands. The unscented store brand I'm currently liking is $5 for 20 pounds. I also like Special Kitty clumping, and that's $6-98-$7.98 (depending on scent) for 27 pounds.

I don't ever dump the litter (well, very rarely anyway), but of course after scooping it runs low and needs to be replenished. Probably averaging about one box a week.

So I guess we'll say it's around $10 per week for me.

I didn't realise you meant clumping litter - I wouldn't touch clumping litter if you paid me. It's really a big no no, here.

I converted the amount I spend on litter for a month for six cats and it's around US $40.

I use OzPet wood pellets, $17.50/month ($16US) for 5 cats.
