Found a precious kitten, now to find him a home....

My husband found an orange tabby baby kitty running around a very busy Starbuck's parking lot. He was tiny then, only about five or six weeks old. Some customers were shooing this poor little baby and kicking at him.

There was no sign of a mother cat or siblings, and my hubby couldn't bear to leave him there, so now he's safe with us.

One of the dog rescues I work with posted him on Petfinder for me:

How cute is he???

I had a vet tech look at him. She said he's about 7 to 8 weeks and appears to be a male.

We've had him nearly two weeks, and I'm absolutely in love with him, but I can't keep him. I have two adult cats who are very curious as to why they can't come in the bedroom now. I'm sure they can probably smell him, but there are two doors between them, so I don't know.

Oh, look at him!!! I'm in love! I can't imagine that you'll be able to give him up when the time comes. You might as well face it; cats are like potato chips- you can't have just 1...or 2! OR 3!!! Lol!

I would really love to keep him, but I have eight pets in my house and that's too many! I have a dog, a foster dog, two cats of my own, three rabbits and now the baby kitty.

I refuse to take him to a shelter because I know what can (and probably will) happen there. So unless he is adopted, he'll stay with us. I'm taking him in for his first set of vaccinations this weekend.

I'm just glad hubby brought this one home and not me! It's usually me bringing in rescued animals. At least I don't have to feel guilty about this one!

I've been letting my dog come in and play with the kitten and he LOVES it! They're so cute together. My dog is the most gentle, laid-back dog in the world. He is a little afraid of the kitten. It's so funny.

That reminds me of my foster Harley and Ramsey, the cat who swears he's a dog:

I love the look on Harley's face: "Mooooooom!!! He's TOUCHING ME!!! What do I DO???"

*edit* Ramsey was supposed to be a foster too; he was a stray who found us. After he became my husband's cuddle buddy at night, the "foster" charade was all over. Lol.

As requested, videos of Baby Kitty:

If the video doesn't play right away, let it sit for a minute. The videos are very short and shouldn't take long to download.

I guess he needs a real name, huh? Hubby wants to name him Baxter, but I don't know. I like Oliver.
