Sadie's Coughing

I think this cat is unhealthy and needs to be putdown. Im going to make an appt. tomorow and see what happens but I really do think it is what's best for her. as of now. She is still moaning and her poo hasnt firmed up and she is still pukeing up green stuff. I've changed her catfood a week to a week and a half ago but it hasnt helped as she hates it. I REALLY do think this is the best for Sadie.

Before you make any hasty decisions, please talk to the vet. t could be something very simple that can be easily taken care of. You haven't even spoken to your vet about any of these problems, so there is no way of knowing what is really wrong with her.

First of all: stop changing her food immediately - her poop will NEVER firm up, and she will never get better if you continue to change her food every week. You simply do not change a cat's food every week. A cat takes at least 2-3 weeks to get used to the new food, so leave her on one food for a while, otherwise she will never get better. Ask the vet tomorrow what she should be eating.

Second, and I am so sorry if this is going to sound harsh, but... You came here a week ago, posted that she might have distemper, and you had to wait to take her to the vet... We gave you advices, told you to see a vet, you said you needed to wait. I remember you saying that you were desperate, then.... nothing.
We tried to follow up with you, to see if she was still vomiting, and you didn't respond... and apparently you never took her to the vet.
There was no response from you... No update was posted, so I am assuming she was never taken in - correct me if I am wrong....
So... You made a diagnosis from I am not sure where that she had distemper...
Now you are talking about putting your cat down because she is coughing?

And you haven't even taken her to a vet yet?
I am sorry if I am being harsh, but... Tiffany, this is kind of wrong...
It is my understanding you just got this cat... You need to take responsibility for her... If she is sick, you need to act upon it and take her to the vet. If what you are saying is true, this cat has been throwing up green for 2 weeks without seeing a vet.
She NEEDS to see a vet. There is nothing we can tell you to make her better.

And you know... Now it makes a lot of sense that she is moaning... this cat is is uncomfortable... is in pain... That is probably why the poor thing is moaning... please please please take her to the vet tomorrow and treat her...

Pet care can quickly become expensive and labor intensive...
a phone call is not good enough.
Sadie needs to be seen by a vet.

If you, or your family, are unable or unwilling to get Sadie to a vet for a proper diagnosis,
then you need to find a local, no kill, shelter that will take her.

Sadie deserves a chance at life.

She absolutely needs to be seen by a vet, and I think you know this. Please book her in ASAP to get her treated.

Oh dear, I'm sad to hear this poor kitty is still suffering without vet care. I hope if you can't take her in asap (not just a phone call), that you will turn her over to either a shelter or someone who can care for this poor girl, sounds like she's had a rough life so far and deserves to be in a loving place where she can be cared for properly.

I agree with everyone else.
You should give her up.
I would never go and have a cat pts like you want to do.
You say she had distemper when you did not go to the vet even.
She needs to be seen by a vet.
There are so many things it can be.

I think it would help if your mom explained. Don't feel bad Tiffany. I know you're just a kid and you don't hold the purse strings. I hope your mom can get the cat taken care of or adopted out to someone who can. It was good of you to take her in and try your best.

I haven't followed Sadies story very carefully, but I was wondering if any kind of blood work was ever done?

I am sorry she is not improving more quickly, I hope you can get her some help.
