Does anybody have advice on the best way to clean cat vomit from carpet? One of my cats upchucked overnight and by the time I found it this morning it was pretty well soaked in.

Thanks....:)

Zissou pukes in her litterbox, but my sister's one cat likes to puke up undigested food pretty regularly.

At this point, after it's all soaked in, scrape off as much as you can without mashing it in or making the stain bigger, then blot it up with white paper towel, and then get and old toothbrush and your fantastik/resolve/carpet or fabric stain remover, and scrub that in to just the area of the puke, and then blot that up. Repeat until the stain is gone. Once it's dry, vaccuum the spot.

Ah, thanks!! I just threw a toothbrush away, so I'll go dig it out of the trash and be all set. :lol3:

I am in love with the Bissell Spotlifter. The first time I used it was on dried cat vomit and presto! the stain was gone. And then I used it on dried black ink on my carpet and like magic, it's gone. Love, love, love the spotlifter. It's so great I went hunting for other stains.

I just use Resolve (carpet cleaner).
