HI Group:
I have read on here others who use Chicken feed for their cats litter. I have Swheat scoop right now, and I have used it in our Litter Maid we just got. It doesn't work in the litter maid. The pee doesn't get hard before the maid starts to scoop it up and toss it away. So it gets all gunky on the tines and then just pushes the good litter before it. Into the trash bin part, and what ever else doesn't go in there, goes onto the ground. So after this long explanation is, with the chicken feed, would it harden enough for the tines to push it into the trash bin, rather then just messing up the tines with the pee? I know regular kitty litter works great, like Tidy cat. But I wanted to try something a lot cheaper, and I hope just as effective.

No /// it clumps but I would imagine the tines would break them up as chn feed is a gummy clump like WBCL ...

Thanks that is what I was looking for. Swheat scoop is also a gummy type of clump, and it doesn't do well at all in our litter maid. But I read on a package of WBCL that it works great in automatic kitty boxes. They must not be telling the truth.
