is it just me or is the worlds best cat litter not reeeally the worlds best?? even though it says its great for hiding odor..my litter will still smell funky..i think im going to get arm and hammar flushable litter!! because the worlds best cat litter..even without poo/pee in it..doesnt seem to be top notch..?? anyone else have any experience?? or have it not smell?? i've seriously gone through sooo many diff types of litter for my cat, lol...off to winco to get arm and hammar! lol

We use World's best and so does my friend and we have no problems. I scoop once per day and sometimes on the weekends maybe morning and just before bed. We've had no odour problems. In fact I just ordered a big bag tonight from the local pet store.

For a while I was mixing World's best with Swheat Scoop and found the Swheat Scoop too dusty. The litter box is in our bedroom and my furniture was always covered with dust.

hm..thats good to hear though!! i dont know but i swear that the litter i have smells funky sometimes, (even after scooped, etc)..o well..i'll just see how it goes! thanks!

I do smell the "corn" smell, but usually only right after stirring it up. That smell settles down.

Do you have a covered pan or an open pan. Both of ours are covered so perhaps that makes a difference.

I personally didnt care for the smell but i wouldnt say its horrid.

Don't blame it on the litter, it is probably what you are feeding.

corn does smell whether you feed it or they go in it ./... I love the wood pellets...lol.. now I know to sprinkle h2o to soften them a bit

Well, I love the way it smells! (the litter, not the contents, LOL) But then I had chickens at one point (it's very similar to egg layer crumbles I understand) and it reminds me of that.

I find the clumping action superb, and there is no urine odor at all. We usually scoop poop right after it happens :), and twice a day on the urine clumps. Two boxes and two half-grown Maine coons, so that's a fair bit.

It's not my favorite. I don't like the way it smells before and after it interacts with potty. It even made Cupid's poo stinky and his poo is usually not stinky (except right after he goes potty) because there's no undigested food or or anything in it.

thanks! yea i mean even when i first opened the bag before my cat even went in it..i thought.."smells a bit funky" but thats my nose! some noses may not be bothered by it. but yea once its through, which shouldnt be too much longer i only got a 7lb bag i might go get arm and hammar scoop/flush..yea i know the litter doesnt seem to help even keep 'the smells' down either (says it controls odor and what not) o well! glad to know some like it and some dont find the scent to be april fresh, lol. thanks again. peace

and the litter box is covered, my cat would make bigger messes if it wasnt covered..i would rather just teach him to use the toilet!! lol.

and as for what i feed him, even when i used crystal litter the smell wasnt 1/2 as bad..but i just dont like the pee all absorbed..i have to clean the box 5 times more! lol

we mix wbcl with natures miracle - the worlds best, I think it does fine for pee but it doesn't help the poop the nature's miracle does help witht he poop smell.

but then i can't stand a perfumed litter and Gibby can't stand the ones that are dusty so there.

My cats refuse to use the litterbox after I clean it and fill it up with fresh litter (the same kind they have used before). I have to save their old poo to put in a fresh litterbox. Anybody else cats do that, or are mine just exeptionally crazy?

Two thumbs down on the Arm and Hammer flushable. From me anyway--my cats seem to love it. I'd been using World's Best and really liked it, but decided to try the A & H since it's half the price. The A & H tracks terribly, and doesn't clump nearly as well as the World's Best. Right now I have one box of each and the kittens use the A & H 10 times as much as the World's Best...too bad boys, when it's gone they're both going back to World's Best! :lol3:

That's why I love the Feline Pine. Absolutely no pee smell, and if I can smell poo it means it's time to scoop. I have it in my kitchen, and most people don't even notice it. I also really like the fact that it's not filled with chemicals.

i actually used catsan, that really made it not smell had to go and buy a large cheap cat litter and i guarantee im never going to buy it again.

my old land lady uses pine and she swears its the best its very expensive but im going to give it a try!

I got some of this last week because petco.com messed up my bottomless bowl with my litter in it and I had to get some at the store. The only all-natural litter they had was Feline Pine. I remember not liking it before for some reason, but I really like it now. I just worry about how hard it is. Cupid uses it, but he'd use anything. Sweetie. I was just worried it'd be too hard/sharp.:confused:

Yes, I am also blessed with a "whatever" kitty who could care less what type of litter I used.

It breaks down pretty easily once they start peeing in it, and I find Miss Kitty actually buries things in it (okay, buries her POOH, lol) much more than she did with the clumping litter. She'd just go and leave it there with the other litters. I think she likes the Feline Pine a lot, and it couldn't be that bad since she seems to handle it more because she buries her waste instead of leaving it sitting there.

I only have one kitty, so I have to admit...I don't scoop EVERY day. Usually every other day. And I love not having all that waste and dust and such from clumping clay litters. I pay about $3.50 for a bag of FP that lasts about two to three weeks, depending on how dilligent I am in keeping it clean.

I've thought of trying other types (like World's Best...) but I realize it's just out of my own curiousity, as Miss Kitty is just fine with FP and it serves all of our needs (no smell, and she has no problem using it). As I said, I have it in my kitchen and no one ever even knows it's there.

I have never smelled urine in the past 2 years that my cats have been using it. I've also never had any problems with smelling feces either as long as my cats cover it. Of course, there is that "right after they pooped" smell, but it does disapate after a short period of time.

I love the World's Best Cat Litter. And I have found that as long as you remove the clumps and the poops daily it really doesn't stink. It has a natural scent, it doesn't smell like perfume which cats prefer. I love the way it clumps. I like that it's light weight and easy for me to carry from the store to my home. I like that it's non-toxic, flushable and biodegradable and much more natural than the cat litters in grocery stores. I will never switch to another cat litter. To me, it really is the best. :)

In case you havent started using something else already, wanted to add my two cents! I live in an apartment, and since I just got Marlee two weeks ago, she is still staying mostly in my bedroom with me, we're slowing working her into the rest of the apartment. But I am used Tidy Cats Small Spaces and I love it!! I think it is pretty new, and has worked great for me. Like someone else said, when she first poops of course I can smell it, but I never smell her pee! It also has clumped really well for me. Good luck!

I've never heard of World's Best, but then again, I don't buy designer litter that you can only find at pet stores. :D The best I have found is Pet Pride at Kroger - I think it's made by Kroger. Clumps well, good odor control. Plus, you get a big jug for $3. Can't beat that! I loved Arm and Hammer, but can rarely find it in the small cartons anymore, only the huge $8 box that weighs about half my body weight. :rolleyes:

I use Swheat Scoop, which Leo and I like, but Lola has had one accident...the wet clumps stay wet, and that irritates my little darling girl. Plus, I am moving into a 2.5 room apartment (no, that doesn't include my bathroom), so I was thinking about giving small spaces a whirl. I really hate to use clay litter, but Lola did so much better with it. Leo could really care less what type of litter I use.

I used to use World's Best & I have to agree the odor control is not that great. Maybe it works well with one cat, but I had 3 at the time & it did not work well. I now use Cat Attract, which works better, but I think in a multi-cat household you'll never completely get rid of the smell. I would also suggest this litter for anyone who has cats with litter box issues. I suggested it to a woman I know & she said the very next day her cat went back to using the box & has not gone outside the box again.
