As Moss is no longer an 'indoor cat' he no longer uses his litter tray. I don't know if I should leave his tray and litter where it is or take it away as he no longer uses it. He's not used it for 7 months

Shem 25th August 2005, 06:57 PM no, he has total freedom.. comes and goes as he pleases jennyranson 25th August 2005, 07:30 PM I have always kept my cats in at night and had litter trays for them then, though they occasionally use them during the day. But if he hasn't used it in 7 months then he probably won't! Just don't punish him ( I am sure you would not) if he has an accident in the house. Shem 25th August 2005, 07:56 PM He's never had an accident yet  :bigthumb: Rosiemac 25th August 2005, 08:59 PM Does he have a cat flap? Shem 25th August 2005, 09:11 PM yes.. he's always in and out.. he loves going outside now and he always does his buisness out there Rosiemac 25th August 2005, 09:43 PM Thats not so bad then, but maybe in the winter i would keep a litter tray in the house, because if he's anything like my mums cats used to be, they wouldn't go outside when it was cold, so she left a litterbox down for them. Shem 25th August 2005, 09:47 PM I think I will leave it down for him.. it's not in the way or anything. I just wanted other peoples opinions. Thanks guys :heart3:  :bigthumb: GailC 26th August 2005, 06:16 PM Mine are semi outdoor/indoor kitties. I have the litterboxes in place just in case. They don't get much use during the summer months but in winter they do except for OX who prefers the great outdoors (or the garage floor!!) |
