Hello everyone! :wavey:
I'm a 24 year old female and we live in western washington. We being my future husband and our 9 week old kitten, Dora.

She's a maniac! But what kitten isn't right? :lol3: She's our little baby though. Here's a couple pictures of her..

We adopted her from a local family who had just adopted their cat. She was 3 months old when she had three kittens! We adopted Dora, and her sister Nessa. But Nessa is no longer with us. When we brought the two of them home we noticed Nessa was having problems controling her bowels and urination. The lady who we got them from said that she had just fed Nessa soft cat food, and that's why she had the soft stool. But we also noticed that she didn't really respond to anyone or anything that seemed to touch her tail, rear legs or anything back beyond her rib cage. And after a few days she continued to have soft stool. Realizing this wasn't a good sign, we took both of them to the vet.
The vet told me that someone or something pulled on our little angel's tail (Nessa) so hard that it completely messed up her nervous system back there. She had no feeling. None in her tail, her rear legs were going quickly too. She didn't know when she had to go potty cause she had no feeling. We made the decision to have her put down as this is no way a kitten should have to live. And the vet said there really wasn't any help for her. To this day I still wish their was something I could've done. The woman who adopted her out should have told us the truth, but I guess it just goes to show you can't really trust anyone. :(
We still have her crazy sister Dora and she's as healthy as any other.
Sorry our story is a little long, but just thought I'd introduce the right way.

I am so sorry to hear about Nessa - your story brought a tear to my eye. Poor little baby. Maybe if you feel up to it you could post a tribute to her in the rainbow bridge forum :heart3:
