I've had Isabelle for about 6 months. She is over a year. Just recently when she goes poop, it gets on her bottom and on her tail. It also get caught on the tip of the tail too. When this happens she gets poop everywhere when she sits down. She is medium haired, is that normail? Can i get it trimmed up back there and if so what cant i do about the tail without it looking weird, its real fluffy? Thanks

Some people with long-haired cats get a "hygenic" trim around the back end, but I've never heard of the tail being trimmed. Maybe if you just get the back end trimmed none will get on the tail, either. I don't think it'll be necessary to trim the tail. :)

I have 2 Persians and even without their summer lion-cuts, I trim their hair around their behind and tail area to keep them "poop free". They really don't look weird...you can hardly tell they have been trimmed. They actually seem happier without getting all that mess stuck to them :)

Loki gets his bottom trimmed, and Lily and Lace will be getting theirs trimmed as well. By taking care of that area i think you will keep it from other parts of the tail.
