my name is megan and i have two short hair tuxedo cats, Nyda is the older of the two he is about 7 years old and is very over weight, but due to urinary track problems we can't loose the weight. Cast Away is the younger one she is 4 years old but still has a bit of a kitten mentality, she has useable thumbs on both her front paws and a third thumb (unuseable) on one of her rear paws.
Both cats were rescued off the road as kittens, Nyda was almost dead when we found him, he was very malnurished and had bowed legs. when he was about 4 years old he was accidently attacked (its a long story and involves another dog) by a rotwhiler, the dog that bit him was his best friend. from that attack he was left with a permentaly dislocated rear left hip (you can hardly tell now, but when he streaches its obvious).
Cast Away was chasing leaves across a country road one night and i actually almost hit her with my car. i pulled to the side of the road and about 30 min. later was able to get ahold of her, she was a bit wild and very young.
I also have a silver ferret and a sable ferret, a 55gal fish tank and a 20 gal fish tank, and a salmander tank. And on top of all that i have a 2 year old son and a baby due in December.
