Is there such a thing as a medium haired cat? I'm not sure if Pixie would be considered short haired, but she's not long haired either. She's got certain spots where her fur is a bit longer and fluffy mainly her chin, ears, legs, and her tummy. The rest of her fur, basically her back and tail also seems to be a bit longer but not really fluffy. Would she still be considered a domestic short hair? I've never been convinced that she's not a mix of a short hair cat (her mom) and a long hair (the mystery dad). Her hair looks much shorter in pictures bc it's so flat. I wish I had a good picture to show what I mean, but no luck. Any ideas?

Kuce and Luvbug are also domestic Medium haired kitties.

Since I'm not an expert perhaps someone can answer it more thoroughly.

I'm pretty sure the cat I had 5 years ago was a medium hair. That's just judging from pictures, though, since I didn't hear of a medium hair until after he'd disappeared and couldn't look him over up close.
