Just ran into a website about these. They look awesome! What do you all think opposing to declawing. I have read so much about the negs of declawing the past couple weeks (looking for a kitten). Anyone use these??Kimmi

View Full Version : Does anyone use Soft Paws? Kimmi 3rd March 2005, 03:04 PM Just ran into a website about these. They look awesome! What do you all think opposing to declawing. I have read so much about the negs of declawing the past couple weeks (looking for a kitten). Anyone use these??Kimmi valanhb 3rd March 2005, 04:05 PM I haven't used them, haven't needed to. Ophelia is so good about scratching where she's supposed to, we never even had to train her. :) I'll move this to Care & Grooming. :) Charcoal 4th March 2005, 04:00 AM I thought about using them too. But I am trying really hard to train Char to use his scratching post. tuxedokitties 4th March 2005, 04:44 PM I've used them, with very good results. :wavey: I put them on my cats when I got married & moved in with my husband - my cats were really bad about scratching furniture & had ripped up my couch & chairs. DH had nice furniture & didn't want it destroyed, but there was no way I'd ever consider declawing, so we tried soft paws. I used them on the cats for while training the cats where to scratch appropriately, and it worked wonderfully - it's been 2 years since we got married, and all the furniture is still intact. :bigthumb: I really need to write the manufacturer a thank-you note. If you want to try them & have any questions, feel free to pm me (though it may take me a little while to get back to you as we've been having computer problems). You could also do a search for 'soft paws' or 'soft claws' & should come up with lots of info. Hope this helps. :) |
