Anne 11th April 2004, 01:02 PM Yes, we are in the process of updating the forums :ooh:
Please bear with us as we gert everything sorted out and please do post your feedback/comments/questions/complaints here - thank you!
WellingtonCats 11th April 2004, 01:05 PM Just wondering Anne, It's soooo good not having the ads, will these be returning?
Also the little box, in the top left hand corner of the screen has the dreaded x.
So far I'm enjoying it, and it feels alot faster to me. :blobturq: (I love this little fella- will be using him alot)
WellingtonCats 11th April 2004, 01:06 PM Oh, and just one more thing before I head off to bed Anne, Quick(or is it fast?) reply.. Will we be seeing this? Hope I'm not a nuisance, just trying to help!
Russian Blue 11th April 2004, 01:58 PM When I logged on this morning, I thought I was on a new site! I love the layout and that your Private Messages are at the top of the screen. I also like that you can change the Display Mode of the thread.
I will have to go investigate all the other new changes.
Deb25 11th April 2004, 02:17 PM Change is exciting! C'mon everybody....add a picture to your profile!

Alas the ads will be returning - currently it's the only way for us to make some money to support the site. We are always looking into ways to make the ads less intrusive though. Depending on what certain advertising networks offer, we may be able to switch to text only ads. Another possibility on the horizon - paid subscriptions for an ad-less version of the site.
The dreaded X - I am working on getting header back in place and that should solve the problem.
Quick reply - yes, definitely, as soon as I figure out how to get it to work :D
:blobturq: This guy is always available on out smilie page - I need to sort out the display that shows alongside the posting page.
Thanks for your input - very much appreciated!
Kiwideus 11th April 2004, 03:16 PM When someone sends a private message, the reply button is not there nd so i have to start a new message to reply to the one that was sent to me.
ALso, I noticed that the forum displays each persons IP address. Shouldnt they be kept private?
Kiwideus 11th April 2004, 03:29 PM Ahhh the IP addies are gone! Cool!
I like the new look, its exciting! :)
blondiecat 11th April 2004, 03:34 PM Whoa! I thought I had landed on another website this morning! I like the layout:) It will take some getting used too. Haven't noticed any problems yet but then I haven't been on here long either.
krazy kat2 11th April 2004, 03:59 PM I like it! Are we all registered users now, or will the titles be coming back eventually?
hissy 11th April 2004, 04:02 PM Good luck with this Anne, I know how much you hate glitches! Don't we all-
Looks really cool though-
PurrfectCatlove 11th April 2004, 04:13 PM First I thought there was something wrong with my computer seeing all the changes . I even had to sign in and normaly I am already signt in .
I do miss the link to what is new on the right top . Will there be something like that again ? It was really nice and I could see all in once what was posted . Is is just me still trying to wake up , or have some of the smilies has changed ?
BTW Anne , it is a interesting new look :)
Anne 11th April 2004, 04:19 PM Please ignore the color changes folks. I'm sorry I have to work on this while we're all here. I had planned to finish everything much earlier but as luck would have it the VB site crashed right when I was working. So it was either close this place for the day or let you all see the work in progress...
Right now I am still working on the templates, once that's done I will look into all other issues. I've had to switch off the option to choose between styles - I hope this is just temporary.
hissy 11th April 2004, 04:22 PM Hedi- you have a portion that says Quick Links, if you click on that, you will see all sorts of options including View all new posts. :)
PurrfectCatlove 11th April 2004, 04:34 PM Hedi- you have a portion that says Quick Links, if you click on that, you will see all sorts of options including View all new posts. :)
Ahhhh , thanks Hissy :) I found it .
I thing the quote part is so easy now and I like that very much .
jcat 11th April 2004, 04:45 PM Uh, oh: I wanted to dump my Easter avatar, and go back to the custom one I normally use, but no go. Aren't custom avatars going to be allowed any more, or is this just temporary?
blondiecat 11th April 2004, 05:05 PM Okay at the risk of sounding like an idiot, are the picture uploaded suppossed to be links? I just made a thread in the Fur Pictures only forum and attached pictures and all it is showing is links. Of course the links work but I was wondering if I have done something wrong?
hissy 11th April 2004, 05:07 PM I don't think anyone is doing anything wrong. Anne is still chasing the problems and until she is finished there is likely to be all sorts of problems that you encounter. :) Just look at it as we are in the beta stage right now-
blondiecat 11th April 2004, 05:11 PM Thanks Hissy:D
Anne 11th April 2004, 05:39 PM Okay at the risk of sounding like an idiot, are the picture uploaded suppossed to be links? I just made a thread in the Fur Pictures only forum and attached pictures and all it is showing is links. Of course the links work but I was wondering if I have done something wrong?
Are you still seeing images as links? I think I set it up properly now - please let me know if you're still seeing just link. BTW you can have up to 3 attachments per post now.
3BlackCats 11th April 2004, 05:40 PM Wow! I thought I was on a different site too.
Looking good - keep up the good work :)
blondiecat 11th April 2004, 05:54 PM Are you still seeing images as links? I think I set it up properly now - please let me know if you're still seeing just link. BTW you can have up to 3 attachments per post now.
They came up as pictures now:D Thanks Anne, This is going to be awesome once you get all of the bugs out.
yoviher 11th April 2004, 06:38 PM Man, when I entered the place I almost ran away through the door thinking I had entered the wrong forum! Hope this gets well soon!
"Slight".... yeah, right. :D :lol3:
Sicycat 11th April 2004, 07:20 PM Weird... :ooh:
grampngram 11th April 2004, 07:52 PM It's Maaaahhhhvelous. Like all changes it takes time to work out the kinks. Great job, and I really like the new look. :lol3:
Kiwideus 11th April 2004, 08:15 PM Hey I like this quick reply thing! :D

Thanks Anne. Glad the header is up now! :D and quick reply is so handy, I can't thank you enough for it. Big ups to you, site looks fantastic.
Anne 11th April 2004, 08:31 PM And the ads have been switched to Google text ads so they are less obstrusive I hope.
Glad you guys like the changes :D
Russian Blue 11th April 2004, 09:08 PM Oh yeah.....finally a pop up notification for Private Messages!!! Now I'm totally satisfied!!
One question, where do I go to change the title under my avatar? I can't seem to find it? Maybe I missed it when I scrolled through the options.
Thanks Anne for all the changes!
:)
WellingtonCats 11th April 2004, 09:18 PM Change is exciting! C'mon everybody....add a picture to your profile!
I couldn't find how to do this, I went to edit profile and I don't think there was anything about uploading a picture to my profile?
I like google ads!
Thanks again Anne.
Sicycat 11th April 2004, 09:27 PM Am I missing something.. when you go to write a pm, where did the buddy list go? It used to be on the right side..
Anne 11th April 2004, 09:35 PM There's a link to the list in the menu on your left side now.
caprice 11th April 2004, 09:53 PM I have a headache now...I don't like the red and yellow and can't change it :( And where are the smileys? I just got everything down like a pro..and now it's changing :( ......give me about a year and I'll have it down again...lol
valanhb 11th April 2004, 10:04 PM LOVE the changes Anne! So many new toys to try!!!
Candie, Anne hasn't implemented everything yet, I'm sure the different looks will come back. :)
Smilies: If you do a "Quick Reply" the smilies aren't there, but you can still put them in if you know the codes. ;) To get all of your smilie choices, hit the "Post Reply" button, which is pretty much the same as it was before.
Lorie D. 11th April 2004, 10:12 PM I just love all these new changes, they're awesome but it will take awhile to get used to them all. And I do have a questions about my pm box. It says I have 1 unread message, I went to my inbox and the last message is several days old so now I'm confused and don't know if I actually have an unread message. It also says I have 2 unconfirmed messages, what are those?
Also, on the reply screen it says "go advanced" what does that mean?
:D I'll probably have more questions later.
Deb25 11th April 2004, 10:22 PM I couldn't find how to do this, I went to edit profile and I don't think there was anything about uploading a picture to my profile?
Go to User CP. On the left there is a column entitled "Control Panel", and under that "Settings and Options". It's the last one: "Edit Profile Picture".
Deb25 11th April 2004, 10:28 PM When someone sends a private message, the reply button is not there nd so i have to start a new message to reply to the one that was sent to me.
When you view a PM, there are 2 options to click: Forward and Quote. Quote sets up a reply to the original PM.
Lorie D. 11th April 2004, 10:30 PM :D I also really like the way you can immediately see if someone is online or offline when you read their post.
WellingtonCats 11th April 2004, 10:33 PM Go to User CP. On the left there is a column entitled "Control Panel", and under that "Settings and Options". It's the last one: "Edit Profile Picture".
I'm in User CP, and under Setting and Options, I have edit signature, edit email and password, edit profile, edit options and edit avatar... I don't have edit profile picture..
yoviher 11th April 2004, 10:45 PM In the previous interface I was on invisible mode... yet now when I look at the Online list its visible. Now we cannot place ourselves as invisible? :(
Deb25 11th April 2004, 10:48 PM First, check your Options. If you are set to invisible, there should be an * next to your name. It indicates that you are invisible to others.
Deb25 11th April 2004, 10:51 PM Sam, I see that you don't have the option for Profile Picture right now. Maybe it's mods only??? Or just a glitch, as it seems to be active for all in the admin panel.
yoviher 11th April 2004, 10:59 PM Ok, thanks Deb. It appears an asterisk... I just thought that it was telling me that "yoviher" is me (Like if I needed to be told)
WellingtonCats 11th April 2004, 11:04 PM Sam, I see that you don't have the option for Profile Picture right now. Maybe it's mods only??? Or just a glitch, as it seems to be active for all in the admin panel.
Hopefully it's just a glitch. Thanks for your help Deb. :)
PurrfectCatlove 11th April 2004, 11:19 PM Quick Reply , wow that is new .
rapunzel47 12th April 2004, 02:42 AM Oh, Anne! Awwwwwwwwwwesone. So there are glitches, we'll have fun seeing the developments. I haven't really explored, 'cuz all I came to the computer for was to make sure IT was functioning OK, having had its innards transferred to a different case this morning while I wasn't looking, but I'll have some playing to do!! Thanks for your work on this, Anne!
Sicycat 12th April 2004, 03:36 AM There's a link to the list in the menu on your left side now.
Yes but in the compose private message screen, the buddy list used to be on the left side where you could just click on their name to write them a message.. its not there anymore
Sicycat 12th April 2004, 03:38 AM Go to User CP. On the left there is a column entitled "Control Panel", and under that "Settings and Options". It's the last one: "Edit Profile Picture".
I dont have this option.. I swear
I have
Control Panel
Settings & Options
Edit Signature
Edit Email & Password
Edit Profile
Edit Options
Edit Avatar
Deb25 12th April 2004, 04:26 AM Yes but in the compose private message screen, the buddy list used to be on the left side where you could just click on their name to write them a message.. its not there anymore
Sicy:
Along the top of any forum page, it says "Open Buddy List". Then you can click and send a PM to them from there. You can also send a PM to multiple recipients now.
And, sadly, the Profile Picture thing seems to be a glitch at the present time.
valanhb 12th April 2004, 04:31 AM Oh, you mean in the Quick Links pulldown. Thought I was going nuts, I didn't see it. Seems like if you can't find something, check there first. :)
Deb25 12th April 2004, 04:56 AM Oh neat! I just noticed that the font selection has been given more choices...same with colors and sizes.
Sicycat 12th April 2004, 05:06 AM Oh I see now its under quick links.. thanks.
Anne 12th April 2004, 06:41 AM I just changed the settings so that everyone can add a picture to their profiles. Pictures can be up to 100 pixels wide, 100 pixels high and up to 99KB.
jeeperscat 12th April 2004, 10:20 AM It's looking really good (can't wait to change back to green eyes though) :D
DawnofSierra 12th April 2004, 10:27 AM I'm looking forward to pinky paws! :)
dtolle 12th April 2004, 02:00 PM It seems to really be going quite smoothly, doesn't it?? I love the new format, its growing on me!
Just a reminder to all the members who are reading this thread here in feedback , us mods are also trying to get acquainted to this new system so bear with us if we haven't figured it all out yet!! :lol3: I already almost deleted someone's posts by accident! No worries though, it didn't go thru!!! ;)
tuxedokitties 12th April 2004, 03:30 PM Wow!!!! :dizzy:
It'll take some getting used to, but looks like there are a lot of improvements. I like that the "report a bad post" button is a little farther away from the "reply" button than it used to be...I came close to hitting it by mistake a few times on the old setup.
KittenKiya 12th April 2004, 03:56 PM I just love the new look!!!!!!!
caprice 12th April 2004, 03:58 PM I have looked over most of it...and it looks so much better...I just get a headache with these colors...can we change the colors yet? I don't see where I can do it...if we can... :jump:
Kiwideus 12th April 2004, 04:07 PM Candie, look at the bottom of the page, you will see a drop down menu - a quick stycle chooser. I have green eyes right now. Hope this helps :)
Anne 12th April 2004, 04:12 PM Candie, look at the bottom of the page, you will see a drop down menu - a quick stycle chooser. I have green eyes right now. Hope this helps :)
Just so you don't think you're too scattered minded :scatter: ... I only switched those on minutes ago :)
I tried to get as many as the old color schemes back - hope I didn't change them too much. If you have any requests, please post them here.
By the way, if you choose to reply not by quick reply, you get to use our new WYSIWYG text editor - pretty cool!
caprice 12th April 2004, 04:13 PM Thanks! I was going to use Pinky Paws, but the pink is too light :( ....so I using green...is there a way to make the pink darker?
caprice 12th April 2004, 04:15 PM Just so you don't think you're too scattered minded :scatter: ... I only switched those on minutes ago :)

oops...we were posting at the same time...I'll be patient... :shame:
Anne 12th April 2004, 04:18 PM I turned up the pink a bit. Personally I need sunglasses for that color scheme ;)
caprice 12th April 2004, 04:19 PM YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :blobgreen THANKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU :angel2: :blobgreen :blobgreen :blobgreen :blobgreen :blobgreen :blobgreen :blobgreen
DawnofSierra 12th April 2004, 04:23 PM YEAH! Pinky paws is back! Thanks, Anne! :)
Anne 12th April 2004, 04:25 PM Never knew it was that popular
Silver and shades has been replaced by the VB3 color pallete - not one for the Pinky fans...
caprice 12th April 2004, 04:26 PM Sorry to have been a pain...but my eyes are sensitive...I love this new Quick Reply...so much faster!! YEA! You made my day!
Deb25 12th April 2004, 04:26 PM Like the vB3 color pallette. Mmmm....
Anne 12th April 2004, 04:31 PM Just wonder - do you guys like those text ads at the top better than what we had before?
caprice 12th April 2004, 04:35 PM Just wonder - do you guys like those text ads at the top better than what we had before?
It doesn't have any effect on me...which ever you prefer! :)
Kiwideus 12th April 2004, 04:35 PM By the way, if you choose to reply not by quick reply, you get to use our new WYSIWYG text editor - pretty cool!
What's that? :confuse3:Ahhhh I think I know what you are talking about now. Feeling foolish
valanhb 12th April 2004, 04:53 PM WYSIWYG = What You See Is What You Get. :) I think you have to change it in your Control Panel to use it.
Deb25 12th April 2004, 05:03 PM Is anyone else having issues with using options like bold, italics, or other options? When you used to choose one of these, a separate little window used to open up to type in. Now I see the code appears directly in the reply window - a good thing - but I don't see it giving the ending vB tag to make the change happen.
For example, when I want bold, I click the Bold link. It gives me the [b], but not the [ /b] part I need at the end to actually make my text bold. I have to supply the ending tag myself.
This could be just a quirk on my end of using an older IE version with Mac OS9.
Kiwideus 12th April 2004, 05:09 PM Hey I am loving this more and more! All these options and many more! I even got to download a picture of myself as a profile. Please don't blame me if your monitor breaks. :paranoid: Now I understand the WYSIWYG thingy! AWESOME!!!!!!!
Kudos to you Anne for your work, this site is looking way better.
I have the same thing as you deb, but it shows both tags and I just type in between them.
Deb25 12th April 2004, 05:22 PM At least you got the end tag! I think that some people don't understand that you have to type between them, because I saw a few instances yesterday where the tags were in the posts, but the text was after them. It said "undefined" between the tags. I fixed a couple of them that were in people's signatures.
Deb25 12th April 2004, 05:24 PM I even got to download a picture of myself as a profile.
Love the profile pic, btw. I kinda wish they would be shown on all the posts. Then you could see the avatar and the person!
hissy 12th April 2004, 05:26 PM I love the versitility of this new program it rocks! Before you had to type in a little box And now, you just click on the symbols!
Thanks Anne for this new playground!:heart3:
Kiwideus 12th April 2004, 05:28 PM Hissy - I don't think anyone is going to ever leave, what with all this tinkering around we are going to be doing for quite some time! :D
caprice 12th April 2004, 05:52 PM I was trying to add my pic and I um...can't make it any bigger because it won't accept it. Is there something wrong with it?
hissy 12th April 2004, 05:56 PM The photo has to be 100 pixels by 100 pixels any larger it won't accept it. Although mine is under that and it says it is to large so perhaps there is still a glitch?
Kiwideus 12th April 2004, 05:58 PM THe pic needs to be 100x100 or 97kb pixels.
Deb25 12th April 2004, 06:22 PM Send me your pics and I will try to resize.
dmoltisa@tampabay.rr.com
Anne 12th April 2004, 07:53 PM THe pic needs to be 100x100 or 97kb pixels.
It's up to 100 by 100 AND up to 97KB. Both limits apply
Deb, the tag problems, are you having them when you use the quick reply or the regular reply functions (post reply & quote and reply). With the latter two, you should get the WYSIWYG editor (if you have it turned on in your options). With that you shouldn't see any tags whatsoever, you just use it the same way you use MS Word. And you can choose the smilies from a drop-down menu and see them right there in the editor. Very convenient!
Kiwideus 12th April 2004, 07:56 PM I am having trouble pasting in my posts - it says I need to select some text for this to work
WellingtonCats 12th April 2004, 08:48 PM When I was reading my profile, I noticed it said "WellingtonCats is not a member of any groups" or something under Group Membership..
Deb, when I click on Bold Italics or underlined the box thing still comes up.
Wooohoo I have green eyes back and a profile picture  Thanks!
Also,I like when you edit a post you can give a reason.
Whisker's mom 12th April 2004, 09:53 PM Oh wow!!! What a complete makeover. :)
Looking good!
Deb25 12th April 2004, 09:59 PM Our search function doesn't seem to be working.......
WellingtonCats 12th April 2004, 10:09 PM Our search function doesn't seem to be working.......
True, I just searched for a few things and it came up with the same "No matches found" message...
WellingtonCats 12th April 2004, 10:17 PM I don't know if this is a problem with the new layout, but I haven't had it happen before. I was trying to Quote a post and in the post was a URL, and when I tried to write my reply underneath the whole quote, the bit I was trying to reply to, would become a link to the URL, it was mighty stressfull.
linda_of_pgff 12th April 2004, 10:20 PM Hi All,
It caught me a bit off guard! I'd stored a cookie for the site, and when it didn't "know" me, I got worried, what with all the spam and icky stuff that goes on these days online!! Glad to see it's just changes in format and all. Looks nice, so far, though I am not sure if I'm oriented yet, or not. If I see anything I feel moved to comment on specifically, I'll pop in and post again!
Thanks, TCS team, for the hard work involved in updating and maintaining order for us all!!
Anne 12th April 2004, 10:27 PM Search function seems to be working fine for me. What word/s did you search for that got you the "no matches" message?
As for the public groups - I have yet to figure it out myself. This is one of the new features available, along with the ranks system, reputation system and other goodies (not opeational yet). I think that public groups means something like clans - where you can divide the community into different groups, each with its own set of ranks. For example in a football board, you would have members who belong to specific groups, according to their favorite group in real life if you see what I mean. I don't think this is relevant here really.
hissy 12th April 2004, 10:30 PM I noticed that when I tried to find the old thread about the Apprentice even though I told it search fully and check old and new threads, the only one it brought up was Kass's new one about nakita, and not the one I was looking for- so I started a new thread.
I am going to try and locate my April Contest thread now, lets see if I am successful or not

Sorry to be such a nuisance!:emba:
Thanks for explaining about the groups..
I typed in Kiwideus,Chchchanges and Apprentice.
Also when I go to the "Search Form" what does, Search in child forums mean?
Ta.
hissy 12th April 2004, 10:33 PM Nope didn't work, maybe I am not setting up the search functions correctly, but now I have to look for it the old fashioned way- :smash:
Anne 12th April 2004, 10:42 PM Sorry to be such a nuisance!:emba:

I typed in Kiwideus,Chchchanges and Apprentice.

Your'e not being a nusiance Sam - this is really helping me sort things out on my end :)
I got 3 search results for the word Apprentice.
Chchchanges doesn't bring up anything because this thread is called Chchchchanges ;)
As for Kiwideus - if you're looking for posts by her you need to use the advanced search function and look for posts made by her. That should work.
Search in child forums means that if you search for example in the lounge and include child forums, it will also search "fur pictures". If you don't include child forums it'll ignore "fur pictures" and only search the lounge.
Kiwideus 12th April 2004, 10:48 PM Spying on me eh Sam? :lol3:
rapunzel47 13th April 2004, 12:42 AM Silver and shades has been replaced by the VB3 color pallete - not one for the Pinky fans...
So I've just discovered. Miss Silver and shades, but VB3 is fine. As long as I have something in basically muted blue tones, I'm ecstatic.
I still have a LOT of exploring to do, but I'm really looking forward to it. First indications are that the changes are EXCELLENT! Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou! :jump:
WellingtonCats 13th April 2004, 01:28 AM Spying on me eh Sam? :lol3:
Sorry..lol you were just the first person I thought of when I was searching.
Ahhh gotcha now. Yip but the thread I was looking for didn't come up(just like hissy said), never mind. One more thing each time I go onto a new site and then come back to TCS, it's swtiched back onto default, for the color.. not really a major thing.
Thanks again!

Sam, there is an option to change it in your Control Panel. I think that's probably where you need to change it to keep the color style. :)
TNR1 13th April 2004, 02:26 AM YEH for changing the colors. The original colors I didn't like...so I chose the cream colors. :blobgreen

Deb25 13th April 2004, 03:50 AM Hmm, the google ads seem to be running amok. On the main page of a forum, i.e. the Lounge, they are HUGE and take a bit of scrolling to get past. Now I also notice that the ads also appear beneath the first post in a thread.
hissy 13th April 2004, 03:55 AM I don't think Anne is done, she has to move them and reduce them, but at midnight her time, she simply ran out of steam. :)
tuxedokitties 13th April 2004, 04:20 AM This may sound a little bit off the wall, but I have recently started using voice recognition software for my computer and for some reason the reply and quote options are not available as images or as links in my software.
I don't know if that's something you can fix, but just wanted to let you know.
The site looks great!
:bigthumb:
Sicycat 13th April 2004, 06:54 AM Ooo yay I changed the colors.
The more I get used to this the more I love it! Nice work Anne!
WellingtonCats 13th April 2004, 07:28 AM :doh2: Thanks Heidi. I should have done that in the first place, I just thought it was so handy having it down the bottom.. another cat forum I'm on(exactly the same layout as this) stays in place when you change it. But I'm not complaining.
DawnofSierra 13th April 2004, 10:31 AM I've been having lots of fun exploring the new features, and the more I get used to it , the more I like it! Thanks, Anne, for all of your hard work! :bigthumb:
Anne 13th April 2004, 04:28 PM I'm glad you guys like it :D Is still is work in progress though. I still have to fix issues that have to do with implementing the ads in the various templates.
caprice 13th April 2004, 05:18 PM Thanks for all of your hard work Anne! It's look Fabulous!! :)
Anne 13th April 2004, 06:27 PM Adding new styles is so much fun!
I just added Purrrples. And you can expect more to come
Can you tell I also enjoy the new editor interface :lol3:
I think I also sorted out the Google ads - hope they're not too intrusive now.
Thank you again everyone for the  and the patience...
bren.1 13th April 2004, 06:36 PM WOW! I haven't been here for a few days, and it's like a whole new place. Love the look, I'll hopefully have more time soon to explore the newness.
PurrfectCatlove 13th April 2004, 07:46 PM I have to say that I am a person who usualy hate change , I am afraid of new things . But I do have to say that I need to give "Anne" the big :bigthumb: up and 4 :greenpaw: :greenpaw: :greenpaw: :greenpaw: up and a big round of :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :D

I second that! It'll take a little bit of time to get used to the changes, but I really like the new "look" and features.
Anne 13th April 2004, 09:01 PM I keep adding new styles - this thing is addictive :lol3:
Check out the new Red Tabbies... Meowoooo
hissy 13th April 2004, 09:04 PM Good Lord, I just did it looks like my pepto bismo bottle got violent with my computer! LOL I think I will stay with more muted tones!

YIKES! YES! Back to VB3 for me!
valanhb 13th April 2004, 09:37 PM Man! I wish I didn't have to have it on something muted at work. I love the Purrples and Red Tabbies!
p.s. I just had the same problem Deb was describing earlier, in the Quick Reply when you use Bold, Italic or Underline, it only puts in the beginning VB code, not the end...
WellingtonCats 13th April 2004, 09:44 PM Oh Purrrples is wonderful, I love it. Same with Red Tabbies!
Lorie D. 13th April 2004, 09:55 PM I accidently double posted in a thread, and tried to delete the second post. That second post is still in the thread and now has this message directly underneath it:

WellingtonCats 13th April 2004, 10:05 PM Hi Lorie,
I went to your double post and it didn't have that message underneath. I deleted a double post the other day and it worked fine for me, try again.:)
Lorie D. 13th April 2004, 10:22 PM Thanks Sam! Now it's getting strange, I went back to where I had double posted and saw that the second post is deleted now, but there are two of these underneath it:

Am I the only one who can see those two messages?
Never mind, I just noticed that Heidi deleted my second post, but I still see those two message that say a message has been deleted.

This is probably because you are a moderator. Usually if a post is deleted moderators can still see it (not the actual post but the deletion message), but normal members cannot.
I loove the new look! I'm so happy this site has upgraded to vB3! I find it to be much more user friendly and the features are sooooo fun! :D
Jellybelly 14th April 2004, 03:50 AM Wow!!!! Ya did such a great job!!!! It is definitely user friendly and a lot easier to maneuver around :) Congratulations!!! :wavey:

I agree. I usually adapt ever so slowly and with a great deal of resistance to change, but the more I explore the new features, the more I like it!! For instance, this is the first time I've ever figured out how to quote because it's seems easier now! I've always been a pinky paws, but I kind of like these purples! Thanks, Anne for all your hard work! :happy3:
2rascalkitties 14th April 2004, 07:37 AM Haven't been here in a week, and already I'm diggin' the new look of the forum. :happy3: Oh and I love the smilies too. Haha! Keep up the good work moderators. :bigthumb:
Rosiemac 14th April 2004, 11:30 AM The pages start from about 1" in from my screen and i have to keep moving my tool bar from left to right to read the postings.
I can't remember having to do this before?. Can anyone help :)
caprice 14th April 2004, 04:16 PM Wow!!!! Ya did such a great job!!!! It is definitely user friendly and a lot easier to maneuver around :) Congratulations!!! :wavey:
HEY KIM! We've missed you!!!!!!! Almost done with being preggers...huh? Is it in July? My cousin is due July 7 and my friend is due July 18! Glad to see you back..take care and keep in touch! :wavey:
tuxedokitties 14th April 2004, 04:52 PM Welcome back, Kim! :wavey: Missed you!
Anne, I'm having a great time with the color options. :happy3: Thanks for spicing them up!
valanhb 14th April 2004, 07:10 PM I do have a question. In the past, we have been able to post links as text, for instance you would see Click this link and it would take you to another thread or whatever. Now, when you click the hyperlink box it only allows you to paste or enter the actual link, which is all that shows up in the thread. Am I missing something? Is the old way not available anymore?

Now, when you click the hyperlink box it only allows you to paste or enter the actual link, which is all that shows up in the thread. Am I missing something? Is the old way not available anymore? What you do is write up whatever it is you want in your post, then highlight the text you want to be the link (Such as Click this link) then click the hyperlink button, paste the link into it and it will automatically make the text you selected into a link.
Or you can do it the old fashioned way and type in the code: [url="link"]Text to be link[ /url] (without the spaces)
valanhb 14th April 2004, 08:38 PM Thanks Kristi! I knew there had to be a way and I just couldn't figure it out. :)
Loubelia 10th May 2004, 05:37 AM Change is exciting! C'mon everybody....add a picture to your profile!
I did add a pic to my profile, I believe it's the same one that I submitted for the Gallery pics thread:)
Also, question: how do you customize the avatar? I was able to with the old board forums, but I can't seem to figure out with the new board forums. Maybe it's just late and I'm having a __moment...or maybe my question is realistic....hehhe.
Thanks
